The OVW Light Heavyweight Championship was a title contested in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). The title was created on February 9, 1999, and was retired on March 1, 2001, due to the company withdrawing its membership from the NWA in 2000 and becoming one of the first developmental territory's for World Wrestling Federation (now WWE World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., d/b/a as WWE, is an American professional wrestling promotion. Ohio Valley Wrestling
Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) is an American professional wrestling promotion and former developmental promotion based in Louisville, Kentucky. The company is currently run by Al Snow and Matt Jones and Louisville mayor elect, Craig Greenberg. OVW was initially a member promotion of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) from its inception in 1993 until 2000, when it became the primary developmental territory for the World Wrestling Federation, which is now known today as the WWE. It remained in this role from 2000 until February 7, 2008, when the promotion became Independent circuit, unaffiliated. In November 2011, OVW became the developmental territory for Impact Wrestling (then known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling or TNA). Sean Casey (born February 1, 1972) is an American professional wrestler who wrestles on the Southeast independent circuit. He has made appearances in World Championship Wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation, and in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. He also appeared in the magazine ''Playgirl'' in 1997. Professional wrestling career Casey began his career in 1995, making appearances in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) under the names Steve Casey and K.C. Sunshine.
