Ord Of Caithness
The Ord of Caithness is a granite mass on the east coast of the Highland council area of Scotland, on the boundary of the counties Sutherland and Caithness. It is north-east of Helmsdale. It forms a headland high, known as Ord Point. The A9 road passes above the Ord; there are sharp bends as it follows the contours. History Historically, "the grim barrier of the Ord guaranteed its .e. Caithness'sisolation, and travellers who passed that way were greatly impressed by the experience." It was described in the 1880s: "The old road over it, formerly the only land ingress to Caithness, traversed the crest of its stupendous seaward precipices at a height and in a manner most appalling to both man and beast... even the present road, formed in 1811... has very stiff gradients."Francis Groome Francis Hindes Groome (30 August 1851 – 24 January 1902), son of Robert Hindes Groome, Archdeacon of Suffolk, was a writer and foremost commentator of his time on the Romani people, their langua ...

Category Of Preordered Sets
In mathematics, the category Ord has preordered sets as objects and order-preserving functions as morphisms. This is a category because the composition of two order-preserving functions is order preserving and the identity map is order preserving. The monomorphisms in Ord are the injective order-preserving functions. The empty set (considered as a preordered set) is the initial object of Ord, and the terminal objects are precisely the singleton preordered sets. There are thus no zero objects in Ord. The categorical product in Ord is given by the product order on the cartesian product. We have a forgetful functor Ord → Set that assigns to each preordered set the underlying set, and to each order-preserving function the underlying function. This functor is faithful, and therefore Ord is a concrete category. This functor has a left adjoint (sending every set to that set equipped with the equality relation) and a right adjoint (sending every set to that set equipped with the tota ...

Verein Für Germanisches Heidentum
The Verein für germanisches Heidentum (), abbreviated VfgH, is a Germanic neopagan organisation in Germany. It began in 1994 as the German chapter of the British Odinic Rite and was called the Odinic Rite Deutschland. It became independent in 2004 and changed its name in 2006. It practices Germanic paganism as a polytheistic religion connected to the region of Central and Northern Europe, rejecting both ''völkisch'' religiosity and universalist approaches. History In 1994, a group created the Odinic Rite Deutschland (ORD) as a German chapter of the Germanic neopagan organisation Odinic Rite (OR), which is based in the United Kingdom. In its early history the ORD was heavily influenced by Bernd Hicker who was its chairman for seven years. It collaborated with the group Yggdrasil-Kreis in the 1990s; this group professed a "European religion of nature" and sought to combine Germanic and Celtic paganism. Due to concerns about connections between the British OR and far-right poli ...
