OKK Borac
Košarkaški klub Borac ( sr-cyr, Кошаркашки клуб Бopaц), commonly referred to as Borac Banja Luka, is a men's professional basketball club based in Banja Luka, Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are currently competing in the Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the ABA League Second Division. Borac also has a reserve team, called Borac Mako Print, that plays in the 3rd-tier Second League of Republika Srpska – Western Division. This club is not a part of the Borac Banja Luka Sports Society, like SKK Borac 1947. History In 2006, the club changed its name to Borac Nektar after SKK Banjalučka pivara got relegated from Bosnian Championship and folded. Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year. Slobodan Nikolić
Slobodan Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Слободан Николић; born June 14, 1959) is a Serbian basketball coach and former player. Playing career Nikolić played for the Crvena zvezda of the Yugoslav First League from 1975 to 1987 and from 1989 to 1991. He holds the Clubs records for the most seasons played (14) and the most games played (429). He also played for the Vojvodina and the OKK Beograd as well as for Bulgarian team Plama Pleven. He retired as a player with Radnički Kragujevac in 1995. Coaching career Nikolić coached teams from Russia (Spartak Primorye), Bulgaria (Lukoil Academic), the Czech Republic (Opava, Synthesia Pardubice), Romania ( Energia Rovinari) as well as OKK Beograd, Radnički Zastava and Borac Banja Luka. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. A field goal is worth two points, unless made from behind the three-point line, when it is worth three. After a foul, timed play stops and the player fouled or designated to shoot a technical foul is given one, two or three one-point free throws. The 2021–22 ABA League Second Division was the 5th season of the ABA Second Division with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia participating in it. Teams A total of 14 teams contest the league for the 2021–22 season, based on the results in the domestic championships and taking into consideration the results in the previous season. On 31 August 2021, ABA League JTD announced 12 teams and availability for two teams to be filled by awarding wild cards. The 2021–22 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina was 21st season of this championship, with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. HKK Široki is the defending champion. Competition format Thirteen of fourteen teams joined the regular season, playing with as double round-robin tournament. The first five teams joined "Liga 6" along with KK Igokea. The last three teams should had been relegated, however KK Bosna and KK Zrinjski remained in the league. 2008–09 FIBA EuroChallenge
The 2008–09 FIBA EuroChallenge was the sixth edition of Europe's third-tier level transnational men's professional club basketball FIBA EuroChallenge Tournament, and the first under the FIBA EuroChallenge name, organized by FIBA Europe. A total number of 32 teams participated in the regular season and a total of 40 teams competed including the qualifying rounds. Virtus Bologna won its first EuroChallenge title after defeating Cholet in the Final of the Final Four, which was hosted in Bologna. The ABA League system or ABA/Adriatic League system pyramid is a series of interconnected competitions for men's professional basketball clubs in the Adriatic Basketball Association. The system has a hierarchical format with a promotion and demotion system between competitions at different levels. Mirza Delibašić Cup ( bs, Kup Mirza Delibašić), formerly Basketball Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina ( bs, Kup Bosne i Herzegovine u košarci), is the men's national basketball cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and is named after Bosnian basketball legend and FIBA Hall of Fame member Mirza Delibašić. Dragan "Gagi" Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Драган "Гаги" Николић; born February 20, 1972) is a Serbian professional basketball coach. Coaching career Nikolić coached Ušće, Mladost Zemun, Metalac Valjevo Tamiš, Proleter Zrenjanin, BKK Radnički, and Karpoš Sokoli. On December 24, 2018, Nikolić was named a head coach of the Bosnian team Igokea. He left Igokea in June 2019.
