OK3 (TV Channel)
OK3 (Otevřený kanál 3) was the Czech public television channel, operated by Czechoslovak Television and then by Czech Television, which broadcast mainly foreign-language programs in the original version in the Czech lands from May 1990 to December 1992. In 1993 it was replaced by the channel ČT3 in the Czech Republic. TA3 was the Slovak counterpart of the channel. History In February 1990, Czechoslovak Television (ČST) decided to create a third channel, which eventually received the designation OK3 (short for Otevřený kanál tři – Open channel three). The latter used the frequency network used for broadcasting Soviet Central Television at that time. The station began operations on 14 May 1990, the broadcast was coded in the PAL standard (ČST used the SECAM standard until then). TV5Monde (), formerly known as TV5, is a French public television network, broadcasting several channels of French-language programming. It is an approved participant member of the European Broadcasting Union. The network is available across Europe on satellite via Astra 19.2°E and Eutelsat Hot Bird (13°E) (both free-to-air), online and via TVPlayer. Summary TV5 started on 2 January 1984 and was under the management of Serge Adda until his death in November 2004. The next director since 6 April 2005 was Jean-Jacques Aillagon, a former French Minister for Culture and Communication. The director-general is now Marie-Christine Saragosse. ''Tutti Frutti'' was the German version of the Italian game show ''Colpo Grosso'' ("Big Score"). It was aired from 21 January 1990 through to 21 February 1993 on RTL plus for three series, totaling approximately 140 episodes. It was the first erotic TV show on German television and was also available to viewers across Europe as it was broadcast without encryption via the Astra satellite which could be received over a wide area and was popular with 'early adopter' satellite enthusiasts in the UK. The show caused substantial outrage at the time, as partial nudity was a central feature (the show featured scantily dressed and stripping women). The show was innovative in broadcasting 3D effect film clips where the background was scrolled across the screen at a slower speed than dancers in the foreground, thereby giving the effect of depth on a 2D screen using the Pulfrich effect. MCM is a French music video TV channel owned by Groupe MCM. It was started in 1989 by Groupe Europe 1 following the MTV model, as the French version of MTV. MCM broadcasts three encrypted music TV channels "MCM France", "MCM Pop" and "MCM Top" as part of the "CanalSat France" subscription TV package from the Astra 19.2°E cluster of direct-to-home broadcast satellites at the 19.2 degrees East orbital position.
