Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1
The Stadler Regio-Shuttle RS1 is the first widely used, new-generation, diesel railcar in Germany and Czech Republic for local railway services. Its most characteristic feature is the trapezium-shaped window frames. The Regio-Shuttle is classified by the Deutsche Bahn as Class 650, by the České Dráhy as Class 840 or Class 841, however numerous private railways have their own Regio-Shuttles. Technical information Originally a product from the firm of ADtranz, the RS1 is now being built and sold by Stadler Rail AG, since Bombardier Transportation had to sell the site at Berlin-Wilhelmsruh in 2001 for antitrust reasons when they took over ADtranz. Netinera (formerly Arriva Deutschland) is a railway company operating in Germany. It was founded as a subsidiary of British Arriva plc in 2003 and initially headquartered in Hamburg. After the acquisition of Regentalbahn in 2004, the company's seat was located to Regentalbahn's head office at Viechtach in Bavaria. In the following years, many administrative and management positions were seated in Berlin, where the company headquarters were officially moved to in early 2023. With Deutsche Bahn's purchase of Arriva in 2010, the European Commission ruled that Deutsche Bahn would have to shed Arriva's German operations in order to comply with competition rules. Keolis, Veolia and Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane expressed interest in buying the business. Wittenberge station is the railway station for the Brandenburg town of Wittenberge in Germany. About 5,000 passengers use the station daily and it is served by around 100 trains per day. Infrastructure The station is located about 1.3 kilometres from the city centre on the eastern edge of the town of Wittenberge. Wismar (german: Bahnhof Wismar) is a railway station in the town of Wismar, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Schwerin Hauptbahnhof
Schwerin Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station of the capital of the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is located in the northwest of the central city. It includes four tracks on two platforms and a siding west of the fourth track. Currently the station is used by about 12,000 passengers a day.
