O2 Racing Technology (also known as Genoa Racing) was an American auto racing team owned by Mark Olson that competed in the Indy Lights series. History The team ran the No. 36 and 63 entries in the Indy Lights series for 2011 with Peter Dempsey and Mikaël Grenier Mikaël Grenier (born October 17, 1992) is a Canadian racing driver from Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. Career After karting, Grenier moved to Formula BMW Americas in 2008 with Apex-HBR Racing Team, finishing fourth in points with a pole at Road Americ .... They were suspended from Indy Lights along with owner Mark Olson until the end of 2012 over issues with the David Hobbs 100 at the Milwaukee Mile and the team withdrawing. IndyCar accused the team and owner of four Indy Lights rule book violations because of their interference with the running of the event. The appeal of the penalties were later denied in July 2011. Indy NXT, previously Indy Lights, is an American developmental automobile racing series sanctioned by IndyCar, currently known as Firestone Indy NXT Series for sponsorship reasons. Indy Lights is the highest step on the Road to Indy, a program of racing series leading up to the IndyCar Series. The Indy Lights series has been promoted by Anderson Promotions since 2014, which also manages the Road to Indy program. A similar series named Indy Lights filled the developmental role for the CART series, and ran from 1986 to 1993 as the American Racing Series and Dayton Indy Lights from 1991 to 2001. The current IndyCar sanctioned series was founded in 2002 as the Infiniti Pro Series as a way to introduce new talent to IndyCar, with the moniker Indy Lights returning in 2008 when CART and IndyCar unified. Peter Dempsey
Peter Samuel Dempsey (born 31 March 1986) is an Irish racing driver from Ashbourne, County Meath. Dempsey began his pro career in Formula BMW UK in 2004, finishing 22nd. In 2005 he finished second in the Formula Ford Walter Hayes Trophy race and won the BRDC Golden Helmet. In 2006 he finished third in Formula Ford UK and won the Walter Hayes Trophy. In 2007 he won both the Golden Helmet and Walter Hayes Trophy. 2008 saw Dempsey move to the United States to race in Star Mazda for Andersen Racing where he won four races and finished third in points. He also made two starts in the F2000 Championship Series. In 2009 he finished second in Star Mazda for AIM Autosport. He had no full-time drive in 2010 but participated in one American Le Mans Series race (the 2010 Petit Le Mans) and a number of high-profile Formula Ford races in the UK. Mikaël Grenier
Mikaël Grenier (born October 17, 1992) is a Canadian racing driver from Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury. Career After karting, Grenier moved to Formula BMW Americas in 2008 with Apex-HBR Racing Team, finishing fourth in points with a pole at Road America and six podium finishes. In 2009 he made six starts in Star Mazda for Andersen Racing, good enough for 18th in points. In 2010 he drove the full Star Mazda schedule for Andersen and finished eighth in points, finishing second from the pole at O'Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis and winning from the pole in race one at Autobahn Country Club. In 2011 Grenier made four Firestone Indy Lights starts O2 Racing Technology and one start for Team Moore Racing with a best finish of fifth at Barber Motorsports Park. He finished 16th in points.
