Nürtingen (electoral District)
Nürtingen is an electoral constituency (German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 262. It is located in central Baden-Württemberg, comprising the southern part of the Esslingen district. Nürtingen was created for the 1965 federal election. Since 2002, it has been represented by Michael Hennrich of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Geography Nürtingen is located in central Baden-Württemberg. As of the 2021 federal election, it comprises entirety of the Esslingen district excluding the municipalities of Aichwald, Altbach, Baltmannsweiler, Deizisau, Denkendorf, Esslingen am Neckar, Hochdorf, Köngen, Lichtenwald, Neuhausen auf den Fildern, Ostfildern, Plochingen, Reichenbach an der Fils, Wendlingen am Neckar, and Wernau. Wendlingen Am Neckar
Wendlingen is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is situated on the Neckar and Lauter rivers, 27 km southeast of Stuttgart. The town grew in size, officially, on 1 April 1940, when three separate communities of Wendlingen, Unterboihingen and Bodelshofen merged. The town also is the headquarters of the tool company Festool. Reichenbach An Der Fils
Reichenbach an der Fils is a town in the Esslingen district in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. History Reichenbach was mentioned for the first time in 1268. In 1906, its name was changed to "Reichenbach an der Fils" to avoid confusion with other towns or villages with the same name. Transportation Reichenbach is located 25 km southeast of Stuttgart, on Bundesstraße 10. Reichenbach's train station is on the Fils Valley Railway between Stuttgart and Ulm. Economy Due to a structural change in the German economy during the 1990s, the textile mill Otto (est. 1879) had to close down. The lathe manufacturer Traub was taken over by Esslinger INDEX-Werke and had to lay off a large number of workers in the process. Ostfildern
Ostfildern (; Swabian: ''Oschtfilder'') is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is located approximately 8 km southeast of Stuttgart. It was formed in 1975 out of a fusion of the previously separate boroughs of Nellingen (including Parksiedlung), Ruit, Kemnat and Scharnhausen and currently has approximately 37,000 inhabitants.
