Nun (band)
Nun is a Melbourne-based synth punk band formed in 2011. They have released two albums. History Nun started as a recording project as part of Tom Hardisty's studies at RMIT in 2011, with Steven Harris, Hugh Young, and Jenny Branagan joining as the project grew. Solvents / Nun The band released their first single ''Solvents'' on Nihilistic Orbs in 2012, which was followed by their debut self-titled album ''Nun'' in 2014, released by Aarght Records in Australia, Avant! in Italy, and HoZac Records in America. While recording their album the band where highlighted in Jimi Kritzler's book ''Noise in My Head: Voices from the Ugly Australian Underground''. The book features interviews with several independent and underground bands, and was celebrated for its focus on notable Australian musicians who may not have received enough mainstream press. Melbourne

Aarght Records
Aarght Records (sometimes stylised AARGHT! Records) was a record label run by Richard Stanley based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The label was started in 2007 by Richard with Mikey Young, Per Bystrom and Jonathan Wilmott, who played together in the band Ooga Boogas. By 2017, Richard ran the label with Jake Robertson, who was part of several Melbourne bands that released music on Aarght, such as Alien Nosejob, Ausmuteants, Hierophants, and Leather Towel. Since its incarnation Aarght has released records by Total Control, Super Wild Horses, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Ubik, and Nun. In 2009 Maximum Rocknroll called them "one of the finest modern purveyors of punk musics", while Vice wrote Aarght Records was "one of the most important independent records labels in Australia". Mess+Noise
The mess (also called a mess deck aboard ships) is a designated area where military personnel socialize, eat and (in some cases) live. The term is also used to indicate the groups of military personnel who belong to separate messes, such as the officers' mess, the chief petty officer mess, and the enlisted mess. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Schreiber started Pitchfork while working at a record store in suburban Minneapolis, and the website earned a reputation for its extensive coverage of indie rock music. 3RRR (pronounced "Three Triple R", or simply "Triple R") is an Australian community radio station, based in Melbourne. 3RRR first commenced broadcasting in 1976 from the studios of 3ST, the student radio station of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (now RMIT University), on an educational licence with the name 3RMT. In 1979 it relocated to Fitzroy, and adopted its present name. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, it became synonymous with the post punk and new wave subcultures. 4ZZZ (pronounced "Four Triple Zed" or simply "Triple Zed") is an independent community radio station operating in Brisbane, Australia at the frequency 102.1 FM. As a community radio station, 4ZZZ is a member of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA).
