Nuestra Belleza México 2012
The 19th annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant was held at the Poliforum del Centro de Convenciones of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico on September 1, 2012. Thirty-five contestants of Mexico competed for the national title, which was won by Cynthia Duque from Nuevo León who later competed in Miss Universe 2013 in Russia. Duque was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Karina González. She is the fourth Neoleonesa to win this title. The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Marilyn Chagoya from Veracruz who later competed in Miss World 2013 in Indonesia. Chagoya was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mundo México titleholder Mariana Berumen. She is the first and only Veracruzana to win this title. Lucero Montemayor from Nuevo León was designated by the Nuestra Belleza México Organization as Nuestra Belleza Internacional México 2013. She later competed in Miss International 2013 in Japan. Cynthia Lizeth Duque Garza (born September 18, 1992) is a Mexican beauty pageant titleholder who won Nuestra Belleza México 2012 and represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2013. Duque was crowned Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2012 at the grand finale of the 19th annual Nuestra Belleza Mexico which was held at the Mesoamerican Poliforum Convention Center in the capital of Chiapas on Saturday, September 1, 2012. ''Nuestra'' is the debut studio album of the Venezuelan rock band La Vida Bohème, released in August 2010. Recorded and produced by Rudy Pagliuca, it is a free download on the website of the record label All of the Above. Miss International 2013
Miss International 2013, the 53rd Miss International pageant, was held on December 17, 2013 at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Alejandra Andreu, Miss International 2008, crowned Bea Santiago of the Philippines at the end of the event. This was the second consecutive year Japan hosted the pageant. The incumbent titleholder Miss International 2012 Ikumi Yoshimatsu of Japan was barred from attending the event due to her involvement in a scandal where a media executive Genichi Taniguchi allegedly harassed and intimidated Ms. Yoshimatsu for not signing on to a talent agency with ties to the Japanese Yakuza or underworld. Miss World 2013, the 63rd edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 28 September 2013 at Bali International Convention Center, South Kuta, Bali, Indonesia.
