''Now Is the Hour'' is the tenth studio album by American singer Jennifer Rush (and 11th album overall when counting Heidi album in 1979). It was first released by Ariola Records on March 5, 2010. Among the songwriters that contributed to the project were Swedish music producer Jörgen Elofsson, British singer Natasha Bedingfield, and American country songwriter Sharon Vaughn. Rush's first studio album since 1998, it peaked at number 21 on the German Albums Chart. The first single was the ballad "Before the Dawn." As of 2024, it remains her most recent studio album despite sporadic recordings and live performances. Jennifer Rush (born Heidi Stern; September 28, 1960) is an American pop and rock singer. She achieved success during the mid-1980s with several singles and studio albums including the million-selling single " The Power of Love", which she co-wrote and released in 1984. Her greatest success came in Europe, particularly Germany. Early life Rush was born Heidi Stern in the New York City borough of Queens and has two older brothers. Her father, Maurice Stern, is an operatic tenor, voice teacher, and sculptor. The European Top 100 Albums chart was the European adaptation of the ''Billboard'' 200 albums chart. It ran from March 1984 until December 2010. Also commonly referred to as Eurochart Top 100 Albums, the chart showcased the sales of an act in 19 European countries based on IFPI data. The European Top 100 combined album sales (both retail and digital) of new and older albums. The methodology was different from the US ''Billboard'' 200, where albums would only be allowed to chart if they weren't 18 months old. If an album older than 18 months had enough sales to enter the 200 chart after having already dropped out of the 100th position, it would chart on The ''U.S. Billboard'' Catalog Albums. Steven Nicholas Jolley (born April 1950) and Tony Swain (born 20 January 1952, London, England) were a successful songwriting and record production duo in the United Kingdom in the early to mid-1980s, producing some of the top artists and songs of the era. Career The pair met in 1975 when Swain was working as a television cameraman on ''The Muppet Show'', where Jolley was sound technician and sometimes boom operator. They formed the band Chaser in 1975 with Richard Palmer (rhythm guitar and percussion), Nick Adams (lead guitar), Ray Bailey (bass) and Brian Grant (drums).
