Novooleksandrivka, Popasna Raion
Novooleksandrivka ( uk, Новоолександрівка; russian: link=no, Новоалександровка) is a village in Alchevsk Raion (district) in Luhansk Oblast of eastern Ukraine. The village borders in NW with Popasna city. During the War in Donbas, that started in mid-April 2014, the separation line between the warring parties has been located in the vicinity of the settlement. In January 2018 the Ukrainian military regained control over the village. The War in Donbas, russian: Война на Донбассе was an armed conflict in the Donbas region of Ukraine, part of the broader Russo-Ukrainian War. Popasna
Popasna (, rus, Попасная, r=Popasnaya) is a ruined city in the Sievierodonetsk Raion, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine. In 2013, it had almost 22,000 inhabitants. Prior to 2020, it was the administrative center of the former Popasna Raion. In 2022, the city was completely destroyed and occupied by Russia, which later claimed the region's annexation among all the other Russian-occupied territories.
