Northwestern University School Of Professional Studies
The Northwestern University School of Professional Studies (SPS) is one of twelve schools comprising Northwestern University, with campuses in Evanston and Chicago, Illinois. The school was founded in 1933 under its original name of "University College." The School of Professional Studies offers highly specialized degree programs at the undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate, post-graduate, and professional development levels. With more than 2,500 students, SPS has campuses in both Evanston and downtown Chicago in the Streeterville neighborhood. Northwestern SPS is led by Thomas F. Gibbons, who joined the university in 1992 and was appointed Dean of the college in 2002. Curt Menefee (born July 22, 1965) is an American sportscaster who is currently the play-by-play commentator for Seattle Seahawks preseason football, play-by-play commentator of the 2020 XFL on Fox, the 2022 return of the USFL on Fox and is the host of the Fox Network's NFL show ''Fox NFL Sunday''. His co-host is Terry Bradshaw, with analysts Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, and formerly Tony Gonzalez. Early life and education Menefee was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Chester Gould
Chester Gould (; November 20, 1900 – May 11, 1985) was an American cartoonist, best known as the creator of the ''Dick Tracy'' comic strip, which he wrote and drew from 1931 to 1977, incorporating numerous colorful and monstrous villains. Early life Chester Gould was born to Gilbert R. Gould, the son of a minister, and Alice Maud (née Miller). All four of his grandparents were pioneer settlers of Oklahoma. He was a Christian. Ricca Slone (born February 19, 1947) is a former member of the Illinois House of Representatives who represented the 92nd District from 1997 to 2005. Ed Roberson
Ed Roberson (born 1939) is an American poet. Life Roberson was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1970, and later completed graduate work at Goddard College. He then served as a faculty member in the Department of English at the University of Pittsburgh and at Rutgers University until 2002. He married Rhonda Wiles in May 1973 who graduated from Rutgers University Douglas College and Hofstra Law School in New York. They have a daughter in 1976. Reginald Gibbons (born 1947) is an American poet, fiction writer, translator, literary critic. He is a Frances Hooper Professor of Arts and Humanities at Northwestern University. Gibbons has published numerous books, as well as poems, short stories, essays, reviews and art in journals and magazines, has held Guggenheim Foundation and NEA fellowships in poetry and a research fellowship from the Center for Hellenic Studies in Washington D.C. Stuart Dybek
Stuart Dybek (born April 10, 1942) is an American writer of fiction and poetry. Biography Dybek, a second-generation Polish American, was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Chicago's Little Village and Pilsen neighborhoods in the 1950s and early 1960s. He graduated from St. Rita of Cascia High School in 1959 and earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa. He has an MA in literature from Loyola University Chicago.
