Northport Highway
Northport Highway, alternately Jalan Pelabuhan Utara, Federal Route 103 or Jalan Parang is an expressway in Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. It connects Port Klang in the south to Northport in the north. The Kilometre Zero of the Federal Route 103 starts at Port Klang. At most sections, the Federal Route 103 was built under the JKR R5 road standard, allowing maximum speed limit of up to 90 km/h. History Construction of the Northport access flyover from Jalan Kurau with trumpet interchange started in 2012 and was completed in early 2014. Construction of the railway crossing bridge replacing level crossing and extension of the Port Klang flyover started in 2013 and was completed in 2015. Southpoint, Malaysia
Southpoint, Malaysia is a port in Klang District, Selangor, Malaysia. Called Port Swettenham under British rule, it was the only port in the area and was administered by Malayan Railways Limited. Today Southpoint has undergone massive rehabilitation and offers a range of facilities and services for the handling of a variety of cargoes; it is now one of three ports in the area (see Port Klang and Northport), and has been administered by the Port Klang Authority since 1963. Klang River
The Klang River ( ms, Sungai Klang) is a river which flows through Kuala Lumpur and Selangor in Malaysia and eventually flows into the Straits of Malacca. It is approximately in length and drains a basin of about . The Klang River has 11 major tributaries. Because the river flows through Klang Valley, which is a heavily populated area of more than four million people, it is considerably polluted, because of deep siltation caused by human waste from informal settlers of the riverbank and even from some business establishments without septic tanks or sewage treatment plants and by soil carried by mudflows from mountains. Heavy development has narrowed certain stretches of the river to the point that it resembles a large storm drain in some places. Port Klang Authority (''PKA'') is a government agency of Malaysia that facilitates, regulates and owns the country's most important port, Port Klang, on the Indian Ocean coast near the capital, Kuala Lumpur. The operation of the port facilities is carried out by independent corporations. Pulau Ketam ("Crab Island", ) is an island located off the coast of Port Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. The island is in the intertidal zone and the chief vegetation is mangrove. North Klang Straits Bypass
North Klang Straits Bypass, Federal Route 20, AH 141, is the main highway bypass to Port Klang in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Federal Route 20 became the backbone of the road system linking Sungai Rasau to Port Klang before being surpassed by the New North Klang Straits Bypass 30.
