Northland Utilities Ltd. is a Canadian investor-owned electric utility that distributes electricity to customers in the Northwest Territories through two operating subsidiaries. The company is a joint venture between ATCO Electric and Denendeh Investments, with both owners holding 50 percent. The Northwest Territories Power Corporation (NTPC) is an electric utility in the Northwest Territories of Canada. NTPC was formed in 1988 to acquire and operate the former assets of the Northern Canada Power Commission in the Northwest Territories, including what is now Nunavut.
