Northern Superchargers
Northern Superchargers are a franchise 100-ball cricket side based in the city of Leeds. The team represents the traditional areas of North East and Yorkshire in The Hundred competition, which first took place during the 2021 English and Welsh cricket season. Both the men's and women's side will play their home match at Headingley. History The announcement of the new eight-team men's and women's tournament series in 2019 was not without controversy, with the likes of Virat Kohli criticising the England and Wales Cricket Board for pursuing a shift away from Test cricket, while others argued the format should have followed the established and successful Twenty20 format. Francois "Faf" du Plessis ( ; born 13 July 1984) is a South African professional cricketer and former captain of the South Africa national cricket team. Linsey Claire Neale Smith (born 10 March 1995) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex, Southern Vipers, Northern Superchargers and Sydney Sixers. David Jonathan Willey (born 28 February 1990) is an English international cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and bowler. The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs.
