Linsey Smith
Linsey Claire Neale Smith (born 10 March 1995) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex, Southern Vipers, Northern Superchargers and Sydney Sixers. A slow left-arm orthodox bowler, she originally played for Berkshire before moving to Sussex ahead of the 2017 season. In October 2018, she was named in the England women's cricket team squad for the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 tournament, and made her Women's Twenty20 International cricket (WT20I) debut in the tournament against Bangladesh. Early life Smith was born on 10 March 1995 in Hillingdon, Greater London. She attended Loughborough University. Domestic career Smith made her List A debut in the 2011 Super Fours competition, playing for Rubies against Sapphires, in which she bowled five overs and conceded just five runs. Hillingdon
Hillingdon is an area of Uxbridge within the London Borough of Hillingdon, centred 14.2 miles (22.8 km) west of Charing Cross. It was an ancient parish in Middlesex that included the market town of Uxbridge. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). 2015 Women's County Championship
The 2015 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 19th cricket Women's County Championship season. It ran from May to September and saw 34 county teams and teams representing Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Netherlands compete in a series of divisions. Yorkshire Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division, with Kent finishing runners-up. The Championship was Yorkshire's sixth title since the institution of the full County Championship, and their first since 2002. Somerset Women Cricket Team
The Somerset Women cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English ceremonial county of Somerset. They play their home games at various grounds across Somerset, most often in Taunton, and are captained by Sophie Luff. Somerset consistently competed in either Division 1 or Division 2 of the Women's County Championship, and won Division 2 of the Women's Twenty20 Cup in 2019. The squad varied from season to season, but was made up of some of the top players in English cricket. The 2011 Super Fours was the eighth cricket Super Fours season. This was the first time the competition had been played since 2008, having been cancelled in 2009 and 2010 due to a busy international schedule. It took place in May and saw 4 teams compete in 50 over and Twenty20 matches. Women's Twenty20 International Cricket
Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) is the shortest form of women's international cricket. A women's Twenty20 International is a 20 overs-per-side cricket match between two of the International Cricket Council (ICC) members.
