North Wales Coasters
Rhyl Coasters are a rugby league team based in Rhyl, Denbighshire, Wales. They played in the Rugby League Conference History The original ''North Wales Coasters'' formed in 1989 and joined the nearest district association which was Widnes in England. They played in the North West Counties Division 5 with home games played in Llandudno. Their first game was against Bradford Northern supporters club. They later also played at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, Bodelwyddan, Abergele Sports centre and Parc Eirias in Colwyn Bay. They disbanded in 1997. The North Wales Coasters name was resurrected in 2004 and the new team joined the North West Division of the Rugby League Conference. A divisional reshuffle saw the Coasters taking part in the Cheshire Division in 2006. North Wales Coasters failed to complete the 2007 season. Colwyn Bay
Colwyn Bay ( cy, Bae Colwyn) is a town, community and seaside resort in Conwy County Borough on the north coast of Wales overlooking the Irish Sea. It lies within the historic county of Denbighshire. The North Wales Conference is a summer rugby league competition for teams in North Wales and Mid Wales. History The Rugby League Conference was founded in 1997 as the ''Southern Conference'', a 10-team pilot league for teams in the South of England and English Midlands. It expanded into North Wales for the first time in 2004 when North Wales Coasters joined the North West Division of the Rugby League Conference. Eirias Stadium
Eirias Stadium ( cy, Stadiwm Eirias), known for sponsorship reasons as Stadiwm CSM, is a multi-purpose stadium that is part of the outdoor complex of the Eirias Events Centre in Eirias Park, Colwyn Bay, Wales. It is home to the Principality Premiership team, RGC 1404 and RFL League 1 team North Wales Crusaders. The stadium had been used for sporting events, until its redevelopment in 2011, where it now can host international televised events. The Rugby League Conference (RLC) (also known as the Co-operative Rugby League Conference as a result of sponsorship from The Co-operative Group), was a series of regionally based divisions of amateur rugby league teams spread throughout England, Scotland and Wales. The RLC was founded as the 10-team Southern Conference League in 1997, with teams from the southern midlands and the south east, but has subsequently, rebranded and expanded both geographically and numerically to include around 90 teams stretched across almost the whole of Great Britain from Aberdeen in northern Scotland down to Plymouth on the south coast of England.
