North Canyon High School
North Canyon High School (NCHS) is a nationally recognized public high school located in north central Phoenix, Arizona. It features an International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Construction started in 1989, the campus was designed by Hickman, Schafer & Turley Architects Ltd. of Mesa. The campus opened in the 1991–1992 school year as Paradise Valley High School before PVHS moved into their remodeled school. It became North Canyon starting in the 1993–1994 school year. The first graduating class was the class of 1994. The school's athletics teams are known as the Rattlers, and the school colors are purple and black. Academics North Canyon features special programs in academics. In addition to its IB Diploma program, NCHS offers a variety of Advanced Placement classes, and many of its highest-ranking students have grade point averages above 4.0. Nick Sundberg
Nick Sundberg (born July 29, 1987) is an American football long snapper who is a free agent. He played college football at California before signing with the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He has also been a member of the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Football Team of the NFL and the California Redwoods of the United Football League. Early life Sundberg was born in Phoenix, Arizona and played high school football at North Canyon High School. He played left tackle until his junior season, when the coaches moved him to center. Jordan Theodore Stagmiller (born November 8, 1992) is an American soccer player from Phoenix, Arizona. Career College and Amateur Stagmiller played youth soccer for Sereno Soccer Club in Phoenix, Arizona. He was named Sereno Soccer Club's Player of the Year in 2011. Color guards or flag corps are teams of performers who perform choreographed dances and routines with various equipment to enhance and interpret the music of a marching band or drum and bugle corps show. Color guard teams can be found in American colleges, universities, high schools, middle schools and independent drum corps. They use various equipment including flags, non-functioning rifles, and sabres, along with other props. Most Color Guard groups are of mixed gender but some may also be single gender.
