Norsk Kulturråd
The Arts Council Norway ( no, Norsk kulturråd, often shortened to ''Kulturrådet'') is the official arts council for Norway. Based in Oslo, it is a Norwegian state institution created in 1965 as a result of a parliamentary decision in 1964. Arts Council Norway's administration is in charge of a broad spectrum of administrative tasks and functions within the cultural field, including artists' grants, the Audio and Visual Fund and a number of other funding schemes. In 2010, Arts Council Norway was merged with ABM-utvikling, the Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority. The library functions were transferred to the National Library of Norway. In 2015, the archive functions were transferred to the National Archives of Norway. Hartvig Kiran
Hartvig Kiran (3 November 1911 – 15 August 1978) was a Norwegian author, lyricist and composer. He was most commonly associated with his broadcasts on the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. Biography Kiran was born at Ålesund in Møre og Romsdal, Norway. His parents were Hartvig Nikolaisen Kiran (1876-1953) and Elisabeth Pettersson (1886-1967). After artium in 1931, he studied philology at the University of Oslo. In 1938, he took employment in the news room of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK). Following the Occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany, Kiran went into exile to Great Britain from 1941 to 1945. He worked as a newscaster for the Norwegian section of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Norwegian Culture
The culture of Norway is closely linked to the country's history and geography. The unique Norwegian farm culture, sustained to this day, has resulted not only from scarce resources and a harsh climate but also from ancient property laws. Kristin Danielsen (dancer)
Kristin Danielsen (born 1972) is a Norwegian dancer, choreographer and cultural administrator. She was born in Arendal. She was trained as dancer at Den norske balletthøgskole in Oslo and the Broadway Dance Centre in New York City, and graduated as Master of Arts Management from the City, University of London. After a career as dancer and choreographer, she assumed various administrative positions. From 1999 to 2001 she was manager of the in Oslo, and she was producer at the ''Danse- og teatersentrum'' from 2001 to 2002. ''Dagbladet'' (lit.: ''The Daily Magazine'') is one of Norway's largest newspapers and is published in the tabloid format. It has 1,400,000 daily readers on mobile, web and paper. Traditionally ''Dagbladet'' is considered the main liberal newspaper of Norway, with a generally liberal progressive editorial outlook, to some extent associated with the movement of cultural radicalism in Scandinavian history. Anne Aasheim
Anne Aasheim (22 April 1962 – 30 March 2016) was a Norwegian editor. She was born in Porsgrunn and started her journalist career in the neighboring city's largest newspaper ''Varden'' in the late 1970s. She worked in '' Dagen'' and '' Bergens Arbeiderblad'' before being hired in NRK Hordaland in 1988. She served as acting director of NRK P3 in Trondheim and NRK P2 in Oslo before being appointed as director of the local news post '' Østlandssendingen'' in 1997. In 1999 she served as acting director of culture in the news corporation, before serving as director of national and district news from 2001 to 2005. After a period as editor-in-chief of ''Dagbladet'' from 2006 to 2010, she resigned and became the new managing director of the Arts Council Norway in 2011. Ole Jacob Bull (born 11 March 1948) is a Norwegian translator and cultural director. He holds the cand.mag. degree from 1974. Halvard Kausland
Halvard Magne Kausland (25 April 1945 – 21 December 2017) was a Norwegian jazz guitarist and civil servant. Biography He hails from Sund.
