Noriko Matsumoto (actress)
, known professionally as , was a Japanese actress and stage director. She and her husband, playwright Kunio Shimizu, were co-founders of the stage company Mokutōsha. Biography Kazuko Shimizu was born on 9 August 1935 in Tokyo. and educated at Ohtani Gakuen and the Haiyuza Theatre Company training school. She joined the Mingei Theatre Company in 1959. After her debut in Kiyomi Hotta's 1954 production of ''Shima'', Matsumoto began appearing in stage productions, including Jukichi Uno's production of '' Three Sisters''. In 1976, she and her husband Kunio Shimizu were among the co-founders of the stage company Mokutōsha, where she later worked as a leading actor and in the 1990s began working as a director. Kunio Shimizu
(17 November 1936 – 15 April 2021 ) was a Japanese playwright. Niigata is his hometown, which is located on the Japan Sea. At Tama University of Fine Arts Shimizu was a professor working in the Moving Images and Performing Arts Department. Life Shimizu Kunio grew up in Niigata Prefecture. His father was a policeman. As a student at Waseda University located in Tokyo Shimizu wrote ''The Signatory'' in 1958 as well as ''Tomorrow I’ll Put Flowers There'' in 1959. These plays were produced in the year 1960 by Seihai, a professional theatre company. After he finished studying at Waseda University Shimizu worked at Iwanami Film Productions, which is a Tokyo firm. There he wrote scenarios for documentaries as well as public relations films. In 1965 he went on to be an independent playwright and left the company. Somewhere around 1968 Yukio Ninagawa asked Shimizu to write a play for him to direct. The is a Japanese theatre company that stages Shingeki plays. Along with the Haiyuza Theatre Company and Bungakuza it is considered one of the "Big Three" among Shingeki theatre troupes. History Gekidan Mingei, meaning "The People's Art Theatre Company," was founded in 1950 by Jūkichi Uno, Osamu Takizawa, Tanie Kitabayashi, Hideji Ōtaki, and others. As befitted its name, one of the company's early slogans was "theatre for everyone." At the time of its formation, Gekidan Mingei had only 12 members: 11 actors and 1 director. However, it met with success, and by 1960, it had grown to comprise 119 members, including 52 actors, 13 directors, 16 administrative staff, and 39 apprentices. Kiyomi Hotta
('' Citrus unshiu'' × '' sinensis'') is a Japanese citrus fruit that is a hybrid of a ''Miyagawa Wase'' mikan and an orange. The new breed was the first tangor created in Japan in 1949. It was named Kiyomi after the temple and the lagoon near its experiment station in Shizuoka city and registered as "Tangor Nōrin No.1" in 1979. Kiyomi are sweet. Sugar content is normally 11–12° Bx and reaches even 13 °Bx if conditions are met. Citric acid content is around 1%. It has no seeds. The time of ripening is mid to late March. The flavor is similar to that of a ''mikan'', while the aroma is similar to that of an orange. Kiyomi is a monogerm, so it is often used as a parent citrus to create new hybrids such as dekopon. The Warped Ones
is a 1960 Japanese Sun Tribe film directed by Koreyoshi Kurahara and starring Tamio Kawachi, Eiji Go, Yuko Chishiro and Noriko Matsumoto. It was produced and distributed by the Nikkatsu Company. The story concerns the young hoodlum Akira, his friends, their transgressions and specifically their revenge on the couple that got him sent to jail, a reporter and his fiancée. When the fiancée finds herself pregnant by Akira she enlists his help with her finance who has become distant since the attack. Often compared by critics to ''Breathless'' (1960) and '' Rebel Without a Cause'' (1955), it is a stylistic departure from studio norms, driven by its jazz score and employing filmic techniques described as being as energetic and frantic as its characters.
