Noravank Foundation
"Noravank" Foundation was established in 2001 with an aim to conduct strategic researches in cooperation with Armenian and foreign senior staff, to analyse the problems of the Armenian community, Armenology and the "church-state-society" relations. The Noravank Foundation also carries out an educational program to inform young researchers about up to date ideas prevailing in social and political sciences via the seminars and conferences, the multi-language journal of "21st Century" and "Noravank Foundation Bulletin". Armenology
Armenian studies or Armenology ( hy, հայագիտություն, ) is a field of humanities covering Armenian History of Armenia, history, Armenian language, language and Culture of Armenia, culture. The emergence of modern Armenian studies is associated with the foundation of the Catholic Mechitarists, Mechitarist order in the early 18th century. Until the early 20th century, Armenian studies were largely conducted by individual scholars in the Armenian communities of the Russian Empire (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nakhichevan-on-Don, New Nakhichevan, Tiflis), Europe (Venice, Vienna, Paris, London, Berlin, Leipzig), Constantinople and Vagharshapat in Armenia. Arman Kirakossian
Arman Kirakossian (Armenian: Արման Կիրակոսյան; 10 September 1956 – 6 July 2019) was an Armenian diplomat and historian. From November 2014 until his death he served as Ambassador of Armenia to Austria as well as Ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and International Organizations in Vienna (UNIDO, UNODC, IAEA, CTBTO). Biography Kirakossian was born in Yerevan, the son of the historian and political scientist John Kirakosyan. He received his bachelor's degree in History and Geography in 1977 and a master's degree in History of the Armenian Question and International Diplomacy in 1980 from the Armenian State Pedagogical University. In November 1999, he earned the degree of Doctor of Sciences in History from the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.
