Nomanul Haq
Syed Nomanul Haq (Nu'man al-Haqq) ( ur, ; born February 15, 1948 in Karachi, Pakistan) is a Pakistani scholar and historian specialised in the fields of Islamic history and Islamic philosophy. He is currently a visiting distinguished professor at the Habib University, Karachi. Life and career Haq was born in Pakistan, but spent most of his early life in England and the USA. At Hull University he received an undergraduate degree in applied physics and at University College London he studied the history of science and philosophy. In his career spanning twenty years, Haq has produced publications and editorial and research work on the history and philosophy of science, postmodern philosophy, history of religion, history of art and history of literature. Habib University (HU) ( ur, ) is a private liberal arts university located in Karachi, Pakistan. Funded by the House of Habib, the Habib University Foundation was established in 2010, and was chartered in 2012 as an independent university. Harris Khalique
Harris Khalique ( ur, ; born 20 October 1966) is a Pakistani poet in Urdu and English and a civil society activist. Khalique has authored nine collections of poetry and two books of non-fiction. In March 2018, he received the Presidential Pride of Performance Award from the state of Pakistan as an acknowledgement of his contributions to poetry. In 2013, he was awarded the UBL Literary Excellence Award in the category of Urdu poetry for his collection ''Melay Mein''. He is also a University of Iowa Honorary Fellow in Writing. The Metanexus Institute is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1997 to explore scientific and philosophical questions. The institute has organized the exchange of ideas through conferences, and published books. The history of religion refers to the written record of human religious feelings, thoughts, and ideas. This period of religious history begins with the invention of writing about 5,200 years ago (3200 BC).
