Noel's Christmas Presents
''Noel's Christmas Presents'' is a British television show hosted by Noel Edmonds that was originally broadcast on Christmas Day on BBC One, BBC1 from 1989 to 1999 (except 1992) and then on Sky 1 from 23 December 2007 to 23 December 2012, where special Christmas presents were delivered to well-deserving members of the public. Edmonds did not host the final edition in 2012, which was renamed ''All-Star Christmas Presents'' and presented by Sally Lindsay. The 1991 edition was aired again on 6 March 1993. Noel Edmonds
Noel Ernest Edmonds (born 22 December 1948) is an English television presenter, radio DJ, writer, producer, and businessman. Edmonds first became known as a disc jockey on Radio Luxembourg before moving to BBC Radio 1 in the UK. He has presented various radio shows and light-entertainment television programmes across 50 years, originally working for the BBC, later Sky UK and Channel 4. Sally Jane Lindsay (born 8 July 1973) is an English actress and television presenter known for her roles as Shelley Unwin in the long-running ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'', Lisa Johnson in the Sky One comedy series '' Mount Pleasant'' and Kath Agnew in the BBC sitcom ''Still Open All Hours''. BBC One
BBC One is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network owned and operated by the BBC. Sky One was a British pay television channel operated and owned by Sky Group (a division of Comcast). Originally launched on 26 April 1982 as Satellite Television, it was Europe's first satellite and non-terrestrial channel. BBC Genome Project
The BBC Genome Project is an online searchable database of programme listings initially based upon the contents of the ''Radio Times'' from the first issue in 1923 to 2009. Television listings from post-2009 can be accessed via the BBC Programmes site. History Prior BBC Genome is not the first online searchable database. In April 2006, they gave the public access to Infax – their only electronic programme database at the time. It contained around 900,000 entries but not every programme ever broadcast, and it ceased operation in December 2007. The front page of the website is still available to see via the Internet Archive. After Infax ceased, a message on the website said that it would be incorporating in the information into individual programme pages.
