Noapara Metro Station
Noapara Metro Station is the largest station of the Kolkata Metro Line 1 situated in Noapara, Baranagar. It opened on 10 July 2013. These include four platforms with lengths of 182 meters, unlike other Kolkata Metro stations. It serves the localities of Noapara, Tobin Road and Bonhooghly. The station has 2 stories, with 6 escalators and 4 elevators. There are also 31 CCTV cameras for increased security. The Kolkata Metro owns a 147-acre depot for maintenance and storage of rakes immediate east of the station. Station Structure Noapara elevated metro station is situated on the Kolkata Metro Line 1 and the Kolkata Metro Line 4 of Kolkata Metro. Overview Bhatpara is situated on the bank of Hooghly river. It is known for its rich traditions in the field of Sanskrit learning. Naihati is a city and a municipality of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA). Halisahar is a city and a municipality of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA). History Halisahar is believed to have existed from the early Middle Ages. It was earlier named ''Kumarhatta''. It had also been the residence of Pachu Shakti Khan, the cavalry commander of Humayun. His successor, Savarna Roy Chowdhury were zamindars of 17th century Bengal and were the ones to sell the villages of Sutanuti, Kolkata and Gobindapur to English East India Company abiding by Farrukhsiyar's firman of 1717. Kanchrapara is a city and a municipality of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.It is also known as the mini Kolkata of West Bengal. History From early historical period, geographically, this area had been full of swamps, natural riverine lake, low land, water bodies sparse village-settlements surrounded by deep jungle infested with wild animals of all kinds. Barring a few pockets, the area was considered unfit for human habitation.
