Nintendo PowerFest '94
Nintendo PowerFest '94 was a 1994 Nintendo-promoted video game competition. Most of the town competitions were held in customized trailers outside of department stores. It was based on scoring points in a special Game Pak. The three Super Nintendo Entertainment System games ('' Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels'', ''Super Mario Kart'', and '' Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball'') were played within a time limit of six minutes. Esports, short for electronic sports, is a form of competition using video games. The Lost Levels
''Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels'' is a 1986 platform game developed and published by Nintendo as the sequel to ''Super Mario Bros.'' (1985). The games are similar in style and gameplay, with players controlling Mario or Luigi to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. ''The Lost Levels'' adds a greater level of difficulty and Luigi controls slightly differently from Mario, with reduced ground friction and increased jump height. ''Donkey Kong Country'' is a 1994 platform game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The Nintendo World Championships (NWC) is a nationwide video game competition series, organized by Nintendo of America at no particular interval. The first Nintendo World Championships was in 1990, touring 29 American cities, being hosted in Los Angeles, CA twice. The NWC was conceived by Steve Grossman and Jay Coleman, principals at EMCI, Nintendo's marketing agency. The event won numerous marketing awards and was sponsored by Pepsi, Reebok, and Nabisco.
