Ninrrol Medina
Ninrol Edgardo Medina Torres (born 26 August 1976) is a Honduran retired football defender. He is current manager of Honduran Segunda Division side Arsenal de Roatán. Club career Medina came through the youth ranks at F.C. Motagua and first moved abroad to play in Mexico for Tigrillos Saltillo. He returned to Motagua after a year, but then again crossed the border to play in Costa Rica, where he played for Deportivo Saprissa alongside compatriot Amado Guevara, and another three years in Mexico. He joined Honduran side Vida in 2006 and finished his career as captain of Victoria. He scored 2 league goals for Motagua. International career Medina played for Honduras at the 1995 FIFA World Youth Championship in Qatar. Guatemala National Football Team
The Guatemala national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Guatemala) represents Guatemala in men's international football and is controlled by the ''Federación Nacional de Fútbol de Guatemala''. Founded in 1919, it has been affiliated to FIFA since 1946, and it is a member of CONCACAF. The team has made three Olympic tournament appearances, competing at the 1968, 1976, and 1988 Olympic Games. Guatemala have never qualified for the finals tournament of the World Cup, although they have reached the final round of qualification on four occasions. Guatemala won the 1967 CONCACAF Championship and the 2001 UNCAF Nations Cup. The team's best performance in a CONCACAF Gold Cup was in 1996, when they finished fourth. 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the seventh edition of the Gold Cup, the association football championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). For the first time since 1993, the tournament was held in more than one country, with games played in both United States and Mexico. The games were played in Mexico City, Miami, and for the first time in a northern U.S. city, Foxborough. The format of the tournament stayed the same as in 2002: twelve teams were split into four groups of three, the top two teams in each group would advance to the quarter-finals. Colombia and Brazil were invited, with the latter sending an Under-23 team. The United States' Landon Donovan put four past Cuba in the quarterfinals in a 5–0 win, but the defending champions went out to Brazil in the semi-finals. 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup
The 2000 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the fifth edition of the Gold Cup, the soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), and the 15th overall CONCACAF tournament. It was held in Los Angeles, Miami, and San Diego in the United States. The format of the tournament changed from 1998; it was expanded to twelve teams, split into four groups of three. The top two teams in each group would advance to the quarter-finals. Peru and Colombia were invited from CONMEBOL, and the Republic of Korea were invited from AFC. With all three games in Group D ending in ties and Canada tied with the Republic of Korea on every tiebreaker, a coin toss was used. Canada won and advanced to the quarter-finals. 2001 Copa América
The 2001 Copa América was held in Colombia, from 11 to 29 July. It was organised by CONMEBOL, South America's football governing body. Colombia won the tournament for the 1st time without conceding a goal. Brazil national football team, Brazil were the defending champions who were knocked out from the tournament by Honduras national football team, Honduras after suffering a 0–2 defeat in the quarter-final. FIFA World Cup Qualification
The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Qualifying tournaments are held within the six FIFA continental zones, each organized by their respective confederations: AFC (Asia), CAF (Africa), CONCACAF (North and Central America and the Caribbean), CONMEBOL (South America), OFC (Oceania), and UEFA (Europe). Ramón Enrique Maradiaga Chávez (born 30 October 1954) is a retired Honduran football player and manager. Club career Nicknamed ''Primitivo'', Maradiaga has played as a midfielder amongst others for F.C. Motagua as well as Salvadoran giants Águila and Alianza. He also had half a season in Europe, playing 15 games in the Spanish Segunda División for Tenerife in 1984. He scored 23 goals in total for Motagua, making him one of the most prolific midfielders in the club's history. He finished his career at Tela Timsa after the 1991–1992 season and took the reins at the club the next season, also changing their name to Petrotela. José Reynaldo Clavasquín Bejarano (born 28 January 1972 in Puerto Cortés) is a retired Honduran football defender and current manager. Club career Clavasquín started his career at hometown club Platense before joining F.C. Motagua in 1998 before the start of the 1998 Clausura. He scored the 1998 Clausura golden goal against Olimpia from a free-kick to make Motagua champions after a 13-year wait. He scored in the 1999/2000 Final. In September 2000 he went abroad to play for Scottish Premier League side Dundee United but left the club citing personal reasons in October 2000. He then moved to the Austrian Second Division outfit BSV Bad Bleiberg, where he lined up alongside compatriots Juan Manuel Cárcamo and Francisco Pavón.
