Ningbo Rail Transit
Ningbo Rail Transit, also known as the Ningbo Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang and its suburbs. Six metro lines are being built inside the urban area of Ningbo, serving Haishu, Jiangbei, Zhenhai, Beilun and Yinzhou.(Chines宁波市城市快速轨道交通线网规划 The first phase of Line 1 started construction in June 2009 and began to service the public on May 30, 2014. Line 2 began service on September 26, 2015. Ningbo Rail Transit is the second rapid transit system put into service in Zhejiang Province, after Hangzhou Metro. Lines in operation , there are five lines in operation in the Ningbo Rail Transit system. Line 1 Line 1 is the first metro line serving Ningbo. Ningbo (; Ningbonese: ''gnin² poq⁷'' , Standard Mandarin pronunciation: ), formerly romanized as Ningpo, is a major sub-provincial city in northeast Zhejiang province, People's Republic of China. It comprises 6 urban districts, 2 satellite county-level cities, and 2 rural counties, including several islands in Hangzhou Bay and the East China Sea. Ningbo is the southern economic center of the Yangtze Delta megalopolis, and is also the core city and center of the Ningbo Metropolitan Area. Fenghua River
Fenghua (; ) is a district of the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China. The district and its administrative hinterlands has a population of over 480,000. Fenghua is most famous for being the hometown of former Presidents Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo. Geographically, it is dominated by the Tiantai and Siming mountain ranges. History Fenghua was established as a county in the Tang dynasty, in the territory of Mingzhou. Its name means "Accepting Reform" and adopted during imperial times. During the Song dynasty, immigration from the north increased exponentially, peaking during the loss of northern China to the Jurchen Jin dynasty during the Jin–Song wars. The Ningbo Ring Expressway (), designated as G1504, is ring expressway in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. The Ningbo Ring Expressway is composed of east and west sections, with a total length of 85.63 kilometers and features 17 interchanges, 13 toll stations and 1 service area. The whole expressway was opened to traffic on 28 December 2011. It is known as the "golden ring line" of Ningbo. Yong River
The Yong River (Chinese: , p ', Wu ') is one of the main rivers in China, located in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. ''Yong'' is the name of the river, and also a short name for Ningbo, the city through which it flows. The name ''Yong'' comes from the ancient name of a mountain in the area. Yong River is formed by the convergence of two rivers, namely the Fenghua River, which flows through Fenghua, Yuyao and Cixi, and the Yao River, which passes through Shangyao and Siming Mountains. The Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou railway or Yong-Tai-Wen railway () is a dual-track, electrified, high-speed rail line in Zhejiang Province, China. It is named after the three prefecture-level cities along route: Ningbo, whose abbreviated Chinese name is ''Yong'', Taizhou and Wenzhou. The line has a total length of 282.4 kilometres and forms part of China's Southeast Coast high-speed rail corridor. Ningbo railway station () is a railway station on the Xiaoshan–Ningbo railway, Ningbo–Taizhou–Wenzhou railway and Hangzhou–Ningbo high-speed railway located in Haishu District, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. Ningbo Lishe International Airport is the principal airport serving Ningbo, a major city in the Yangtze River Delta region and the second largest city in Zhejiang Province, China.
