''Neelakanta'' ( kn, ನೀಲಕಂಠ) is a 2006 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by Om Sai Prakash, produced by K. Bala Mutthaiah, and starring V. Ravichandran, Namitha and Sridevika. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Aranmanai Kili'' (1993) directed and written by Rajkiran. The music was composed by V. Ravichandran. The film was dubbed in Tamil and released as ''Brahmandam''. Neelakanta is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works predominantly in Telugu language, Telugu films director. He has received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu, National Award in the screenwriting for the feature ''Show (film), Show''. Keļallur Nilakantha Somayaji (14 June 1444 – 1544), also referred to as Keļallur Comatiri, was a major mathematician and astronomer of the Kerala school of astronomy and mathematics. One of his most influential works was the comprehensive astronomical treatise ''Tantrasamgraha'' completed in 1501. He had also composed an elaborate commentary on Aryabhatiya called the ''Aryabhatiya Bhasya''. In this Bhasya, Nilakantha had discussed infinite series expansions of trigonometric functions and problems of algebra and spherical geometry. ''Grahapariksakrama'' is a manual on making observations in astronomy based on instruments of the time. Nilakanta Sri Ram or Nilakantha Sri Ram (N. Sri Ram) (* 15 December 1889 in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, India; died 8 April 1973 in Adyar, India) was a freemason, theosophist and president of the Theosophical Society Adyar during twenty years. Biography In his early years, Sri Ram worked under Annie Besant in various capacities. Sri Ram was a teacher at the ''Besant Theosophical College'' in Madanapalle, the ''National School'' in Bangalore and the ''National University of India'' in Chennai.
