Nikos Michaloliakos
Nikolaos G. Michaloliakos ( el, Νικόλαος Γ. Μιχαλολιάκος, ; born 11 December 1957) is a Greek politician and convicted criminal. He is the founder and leader of the far-right party Golden Dawn. In October 2020, he and 67 other Golden Dawn leaders were found guilty of leading a criminal organisation by the Athens Appeals Court. Early life and education Michaloliakos was born in Athens in 1957. According to his party, he completed his studies at the Faculty of Mathematics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Golden Dawn (Greece)
The Popular Association – Golden Dawn ( el, Λαϊκός Σύνδεσμος – Χρυσή Αυγή, translit=Laïkós Sýndesmos – Chrysí Avgí), usually shortened to Golden Dawn ( el, Χρυσή Αυγή, translit=Chrysí Avgí, ), is a far-right neo-fascist and ultranationalist criminal organization in Greece. Golden Dawn rose to prominence during Greece's financial crisis of 2009, becoming the third most popular party in the Greek parliament in the January 2015 election. Geórgios Papadopoulos (; el, Γεώργιος Παπαδόπουλος ; 5 May 1919 – 27 June 1999) was a Greeks, Greek military officer and political leader who ruled Greece as a military dictator from 1967 to 1973. He joined the Hellenic Army, Royal Hellenic Army during the Second World War and resisted the Greco-Italian War, 1940 Italian invasion. Later on, he allegedly became an active Collaboration with the Axis powers, Axis collaborator with the Security Battalions, although this claim has been disputed by historians. He remained in the army after the war and rose to the rank of colonel. ''Golden Dawn'' (''Chrysi Avgi'' in Greek) was a Neo-fascism, neo-fascist magazine published between 1980 and 1984 in Greece. The magazine was media outlet of the Golden Dawn (Greece), political group with the same name. History and profile ''Golden Dawn'' was launched by an extremist group led by Nikolaos Michaloliakos who also edited it. Then, they started a political group with the same name of which the goal was to disseminate their views through the magazine. The group adhered to the Nazism, social nationalism and fascism, and the magazine described itself as a platform of social nationalism.
