Nikolija Jovanović ( sr-cyr, Николија Јовановић, born on 19 October 1989) is a Serbian singer and rapper. Born in Zagreb and raised in Belgrade, she is the daughter of singer Vesna Zmijanac. Nikolija initially gained prominence by appearing on the reality television show '' Survivor Srbija VIP: Philippines'' (2010). In 2013, she pursued a music career with her breakthrough single "Ćao zdravo". Nikolija has so far released three studio albums: '' №1'' (2016), ''Yin & Yang'' (2019) and ''Aurora'' (2022), as well as numerous standalone singles. She has been nominated for several MAC Awards, winning the 2023 Female Trap Song of the Year with "Pilot". Since 2014, Jovanović has been in a relationship with musician and actor Relja Popović, with whom she has two daughters. Early life Jovanović was born on 19 October 1989 in Zagreb. Yin & Yang (album)
''Yin & Yang'' is the second studio album by Serbian recording artist Nikolija. It was released on digital platforms on 25 April 2019, through IDJTunes. The album was supported by two official singles: "Yin & Yang" and "Nije lako biti ja", featuring Serbian rapper Fox, whilst also including three standalone singles as bonus tracks: "Loš momak" (2017), "Nema limita" and "Slažem" (2018). Background and release Nikolija announced the release of her second album in March 2019, when she also teased a collaboration with a male rapper. The album's lead and title track, "Yin & Yang", was subsequently released on 29 March. It was followed by the album's second single, "Nije lako biti ja", featuring Fox, on 13 April. ''№1'' (pronounced "number one") is the debut studio album by Serbian recording artist Nikolija. It was released on October 20, 2016 by City Records. Nikolija teased the album's release on October 13, two weeks after giving birth to her first daughter. ''No1'' includes seven singles from the beginnings of her career and three new songs: "101 propušteni poziv", "Plavo more" and "Pucaj zbog nas". Musically, the record is overall electropop oriented with strong pop-folk and urban contemporary music influences. Ćao, zdravo (English: ''Bye, Hello'') is the debut single by Serbian recording artist Nikolija. It was released on 9 April 2013 under IDJTunes. "Ćao,zdravo" features guest vocals from rapper Teror Teča, who also wrote the lyrics. The music and production was handled by Marko Peruničić and Nebojša Arežina from Atelje Trag. "Ćao, zdravo" is also featured on Nikolija's debut album '' №1'' (2016). Background After graduating from college in Athens, Greece in 2013, Nikolija moved back to Belgrade. Relja Popović ( sr-cyr, Реља Поповић, born on 2 August 1989) is a Serbian actor and rapper who rose to prominence as a member of Elitni Odredi. As an actor, he won the Heart of Sarajevo award for his role in the 2009 film ''Ordinary People''. Early life Popović was born on August 2, 1989 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia. His mother, Zoja Begolli (), was a ballet dancer at the National Theatre in Belgrade and lecturer at the Academy of Arts, and his father, Srđan Popović, worked as a sports journalist at the daily newspaper '' Večernje novosti''. Vesna Zmijanac (, ; born 4 January 1957) is a Montenegrin-born Serbian singer and actress. Dubbed the "Queen of Sadness", she is known for her emotional vocal delivery and melancholic ballads. Elitni Odredi (Serbian Cyrillic: Елитни Одреди, English: ''Elite Units'') was a Serbian pop-rap duo from Belgrade, formed in 2005. They were composed of two rappers and long-time friends; Relja Popović and Vladimir Matović.
