Nikolay Tokarev
Nikolay Petrovich Tokarev (russian: Николай Петрович Токарев; 20 December 1950 in Karaganda, Kazakh SSR) is a Russian businessman and oligarch. He is the president of the Russian pipeline company Transneft. Early life and KGB In 1973, Tokarev graduated from Karaganda Polytechnic Institute (KarPI) (russian: Карагандинский политехнический институт (КарПИ)) with a degree in Electrification and Automation of Mining Works. From 1978, Tokarev studied at the Moscow Higher School of the KGB (russian: Высшая школа КГБ) for two years while Sergei Naryshkin also studied in the French section at the Higher School of the KGB at the same time and Vladimir Putin, who was also at the Higher School of the KGB, lived across the corridor from Naryshkin at the same time. Nikolai Tokarev (pianist)
Nikolai Aleksandrovich Tokarev (Russian: Николай Александрович Токарев), born 15 September 1983 in Moscow, is a Russian pianist. Biography The musical education of Nikolai Tokarev began in 1988 at the Gnessin Music School in Moscow where he was graduated in 2001. From 2001 to 2006 he continued his studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and afterwards at the Robert-Schumann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf. In 2003 he was awarded the first prize of the piano competition Kissinger Klavierolymp (together with Martin Helmchen). In 2006 he won the second prize and the prize of the audience of the Concours Géza Anda in Zürich. Tokarev has performed with orchestras, most notably the National Philharmonic of Russia and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. He had concerts at international festivals including Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, the Rheingau Musik Festival and the Kissinger Sommer. Lazar Lazarevich Matveev (Russian: Ла́зарь Лазаре́вич Матве́ев; born 17 April 1927) is a former Soviet intelligence leader. He served as a senior KGB liaison officer to the Stasi in Dresden, East Germany, during 1982 to 1989, where Vladimir Putin, the current President of Russia, worked for him. On Matveev's 90th birthday, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his former KGB colleagues Sergey Chemezov and Nikolay Tokarev who also worked for Matveev, visited him in his home in Zhulebino, Moscow to celebrate his birthday.
