Nikolaos Smaragdis
Nikolaos "Nikos" Smaragdis ( el, Νικόλαος «Νίκος» Σμαραγδής; born ) is a Greek male volleyball player. He has been 195 times capped with Greece national team. Career Smaragdis has won 10 times the Hellenic Championship. He is also the only Greek Volleyball player who achieved it, with four clubs. International career Smaragdis was part of the Greece men's national volleyball team at the 2006 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Japan. Greek Volleyball Super Cup
The Greek Volleyball Super Cup is a volleyball club competition that takes place in Greece since 1998. It is an annual match contested between the Champion of Greek Volleyleague and the Cup’s Winner. The matches take place in different cities every year. The competition isn't held if one team has achieved the double in the previous season. Iraklis Thessaloniki have won the super cup four times, followed by Olympiacos who have won two trophies less. Aris Thessaloniki, Panathinaikos and Foinikas Syros have won the trophy one-time each. Greek Volleyball League Cup " Nikos Samaras" is the third domestic competition of Greek Volleyball, started in the 2011–12 season. The first League Cup was won by Foinikas Syros who are also the current League Cup holders. Olympiacos women's volleyball team ( el, Ολυμπιακός, ), commonly referred to as Olympiacos, Olympiacos Piraeus or with its full name as Olympiacos CFP, is the women's volleyball department of the major Greek multi-sport club, Olympiacos CFP, based in Piraeus, Attica. The department was founded in 1930 and their home ground is the Melina Mercouri Indoor Hall in Agios Ioannis Rentis, Piraeus. Greek Volleyball Cup
The Greek Volleyball Cup began with 1980–81 season. It is organized by Hellenic Volleyball Federation. The competition was not held sometimes in the past for financial reasons . Olympiacos won the first Cup in 1981 and is the most successful club, having won the title 16 times. PAOK are the current Cup holders. In season 2008–09, it was carried out the final four tournament, but the tournament wasn't carried out and the next years because of riots in the place of final four's tournament, between the fans of Olympiacos and Panathinaikos.
