Nikola Janković (basketball)
Nikola Janković ( sr, Никола Јанковић, born February 13, 1994) is a Serbian professional basketball player for KK FMP of the ABA League. Standing at , he plays the power forward position. Professional career Early years Janković began training basketball in hometown club Ekonomac. Then he played for the youth system of FMP Železnik and Crvena zvezda. After turning 18, in 2012 he refused to sign a professional contract with the club from Belgrade, only to move to Belgium's Spirou Charleroi. Over the season, he averaged 5.2 points and 2.6 rebounds per game in his first international season. Before the 2013–14 season, he moved to Verviers-Pepinster. In the new team he had much bigger role, averaging 11.4 points and 5.7 rebounds over 34 games played. In 2014–15 season, he appeared in just 18 games, averaging 16.1 points and 6.2 rebounds in 24.9 minutes per game. 2016–17 Slovenian Basketball League
The 2016–17 Slovenian Basketball League, also known as Liga Nova KBM due to sponsorship reasons, was the 26th season of the Premier A Slovenian Basketball League. Helios Suns were the defending champions. KK Union Olimpija won their 16th national title, defeating KK Rogaška 3–1 in the final. Format The 12 teams of the league play a double-legged round-robin competition where the six first qualified teams will join the playoffs for the title. The four last qualified teams will join the relegation group where the three worst qualified teams will be relegated. The 2013 FIBA Under-19 World Championship (Czech: Mistrovství světa FIBA do 19 let 2013) was the 11th edition of the FIBA U19 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U19 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. It was hosted by the Czech Republic from 27 June to 7 July 2013. The United States won their fifth title by defeating Serbia 82–68 in the final. The FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup (formerly FIBA Under-19 World Championship) is the under-19 men's world basketball championship organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship
The 2014 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship was the 17th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. The competition was played in Crete, Greece, from 8 to 20 July 2014. The winners were Turkey. To win the title they beat Spain with a score of 65–57. It was their first ever title win. The runners-up were Spain and third place were Serbia. FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship
The FIBA U20 European Championship, previously known as the European Championship for Men '22 and Under', is a men's youth basketball competition that was inaugurated with the 1992 edition. Through the 2004 edition, it was held biennially, but since 2005 edition, it is held every year. The tournament was originally an Under-22 age tournament, but it is now an Under-20 age tournament. The current champions are Spain. Starting with the 2005 B edition, a Division B tournament, which is the secondary level of the European Under-20 Basketball Championship, is also organized. Since the 2013 B edition, the top three placed teams at each year's Division B tournament are promoted to the next year's Division A Championship. 2016–17 ABA League
The 2016–17 ABA League was the 16th season of the ABA League, with 14 teams from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Macedonia participating in it. It started on September 29, 2016 with the first round of the regular season and the regular season ended on March 13, 2017 followed by playoffs of the four best placed teams. The play-offs were played from March 18 till April 13, 2017. Crvena zvezda won its third ABA League championship, after beating Cedevita 3–0 in the Finals. ABA League MVP
The ABA League Most Valuable Player Award (MVP) is an annual ABA League award given since the inaugural season to the best performing player of the regular season. The League is the top-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Dejan Milojević won the award a record three times. Luka Žorić won it twice. Kenyan Weaks, Chester Mason, and David Simon of the United States and Goga Bitadze of Georgia are the only MVP winners outside the region. Dario Šarić in 2013–14 and Nikola Kalinić in 2021–22 are the only two players whose teams won championship that year.
