Niklas Strömstedt
Bo Anders Niklas Strömstedt (born 25 July 1958) is a Swedish singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and actor. Early life Niklas Strömstedt was born on 25 July 1958 in Lund as the first child of Margareta (née Henriksson) and Bo Strömstedt. Strömstedt's sister, Lotten, is four years his junior. Strömstedt was raised in the Stockholm suburb of Hagsätra. Strömstedt attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm. Career Strömstedt played the keyboards on Ulf Lundell's recordings and tours from the late 1970s to the end of the 1980s. Strömstedt's most recognised hit as a solo artist is the song " Om", reaching number one on the Swedish chart and Svensktoppen in 1990. He also had success with the album ''Halvvägs till framtiden'' released in 1992 with the hits "Oslagbara" and "Bilderna av dej". In 1994 he formed the music group GES with Orup and Anders Glenmark. Lund
Lund (, , ) is a city in the southern Swedish provinces of Sweden, province of Scania, across the Øresund, Öresund strait from Copenhagen. ''Svensktoppen'' () is a weekly record chart airing at Sveriges Radio. Until January 2003, the songs had to be in the Swedish language. Glenmark Eriksson Strömstedt
Glenmark Eriksson Strömstedt (GES) is a Swedish supergroup formed in 1994. The group's line-up comprises Anders Glenmark, Orup and Niklas Strömstedt, whose last names begin with the letters forming the trio's name. During 1994 and 1995, the group achieved many list successes in Sweden, and has since then been active in periods. History In 1993, Anders Glenmark, Orup and Niklas Strömstedt performed together in a group called "Miss Ellies Kapell" at the entertainment house Brygget in Åre, where they played each others songs. The group also consisted of Micke "Syd" Andersson from Gyllene Tider and Tommy Ekman from Style. Strömstedt had later been asked by the Swedish Football Association to write the official song for the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He accepted the assignment together with Orup and Glenmark in order to write the song. (promoted as ''Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia!'') is a jukebox musical written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, based on songs recorded by Swedish group ABBA and composed by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, members of the band. The title of the musical is taken from the group's 1975 chart-topper " Mamma Mia". Ulvaeus and Andersson, who composed the original music for ABBA, were involved in the development of the show from the beginning. ''Nya tider'' () is a Swedish soap opera which was broadcast on TV4. It began after ''Skilda världar'' became a one-episode-a-week show. The show premiered in 1999 and got good ratings the first season, but they soon dropped. Broadcast was moved to just being an episode a week on Sundays, but this did not increase viewership; ''Nya tider'' never enjoyed the same viewership as ''Skilda världar''. It was cancelled in 2006. Trosa
Trosa is a locality and the seat of Trosa Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden with 5,027 inhabitants in 2010 (town) and 11,417 in 2010 (municipality). The town is colloquially nicknamed ''Världens ände'' ("The world's end", specifically the rear end, as "Trosa" is concidentally also Swedish for " panty"). Karlskrona (, , ) is a locality and the seat of Karlskrona Municipality, Blekinge County, Sweden with a population of 66,675 in 2018. It is also the capital of Blekinge County. Melodifestivalen 2008 was the 47th Melodifestivalen, and the selection process for the 48th song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. A new rule—''Lex Agnes''—went into effect in 2008 calling for each submitted entry to include a document containing all information relevant to the song. It was named after Agnes Carlsson, who was disqualified from the 2007 competition for publicly revealing details of her song before the deadline. Format Melodifestivalen 2008 included 32 songs split up into four heats with eight participants in each. The heats were held between 9 February and 1 March 2008 and at each, the two top placing songs went to the final, while the third and fourth place songs went to the Andra Chansen (Second Chance Round). Before Eurovision Melodifestivalen 1992 Melodifestivalen 1992 was the selection for the 32nd song to represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest. It was the 31st time that this system of picking a song had been used. 1,544 songs were submitted to SVT for the competition. The final was held in the Cirkus in Stockholm on 14 March 1992, presented by Adde Malmberg and Claes Malmberg and broadcast on Kanal 1 and Sveriges Radio's P3 network. Christer Björkman
Christer Samuel Björkman (; born 25 August 1957) is a Swedish singer and television producer. He represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 1992 with the song "I morgon är en annan dag". From 2002 to 2021, he served as a producer of Melodifestivalen, and remained an important figure in Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest. He stepped down from this position after Melodifestivalen 2021, and is currently working at Voxovation, a Los Angeles-based company that focuses on expanding the Eurovision Song Contest brand into other markets. Biography Björkman was born in Borås as the son of gaming entrepreneur Ulla Björkman (b. 1939). He never met his father while he was alive. He began working as a hairdresser, and soon had his own hair salon in Borås.
