Nik Rettinger
Nikolaus Peter "Nik" Rettinger III (born August 1990) is an American political staffer and Republican politician from Waukesha County, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 83rd Assembly district since January 2023. He is also chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin's 1st congressional district and chairman of Wisconsin Young Republicans. Biography Nik Rettinger was born and raised in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, and graduated from Waukesha South High School in 2008. He was a boy scout and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2008. Wisconsin's 83rd Assembly District
The 83rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises much of the southern quarter of Waukesha County, along with parts of northeast Walworth County and northwest Racine County. It includes the city of Mukwonago and the northern half of the city of Muskego, as well as the villages of Big Bend, Eagle, East Troy, and Waterford. 2022 Wisconsin State Assembly Election
The Wisconsin State Assembly elections of 2022 were held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. All 99 seats in the Wisconsin State Assembly were up for election. This was the first election to take place after redistricting following the 2020 United States census. Before the election, 61 Assembly seats were held by Republicans and 38 seats were held by Democrats. The primary election was held on August 9, 2022. Wisconsin Elections Commission
The Wisconsin Elections Commission is a bipartisan regulatory agency of the State of Wisconsin established to administer and enforce election laws in the state. The Wisconsin Elections Commission was established by a 2015 act of the Wisconsin Legislature which also established the Wisconsin Ethics Commission to administer campaign finance, ethics, and lobbying laws. The two commissions began operation on June 30, 2016, replacing the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board (GAB), which was abolished. The Government Accountability Board had been established in 2008 to replace the Wisconsin Elections Board and Wisconsin Ethics Board. The ''Racine Journal Times'' (since 1972 officially styled ''The Journal Times'') is an American daily newspaper published in Racine, Wisconsin. The paper serves the entire Racine County area. History The ''Journal Times'' traces its roots to the 1852 foundation of the ''Racine Weekly Journal'', which became a daily in 1856. The ''Journal'' was sold during the American Civil War to former state senator and commanding officer of the 22nd Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry (the "Abolition Regiment") William L. Utley. Scott Walker (politician)
Scott Kevin Walker (born November 2, 1967) is an American politician who served as the 45th governor of Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Walker was raised in Plainfield, Iowa and in Delavan, Wisconsin. Marc Julian Bradley (born February 11, 1981) is an American politician and businessman. A Republican, he represents the 28th district of the Wisconsin State Senate. Redistricting in Wisconsin is the process by which boundaries are redrawn for municipal wards, Wisconsin State Assembly districts, Wisconsin State Senate districts, and Wisconsin's congressional districts.
