Night Moves (2013 Film)
''Night Moves'' is a 2013 American drama thriller film directed by Kelly Reichardt and written by Reichardt and Jonathan Raymond, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Dakota Fanning, Peter Sarsgaard, Alia Shawkat, and James LeGros. The film follows three radical environmentalists who plot to blow up a dam. It was shown in the main competition section of the 70th Venice International Film Festival, at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival and at 2013 Deauville American Film Festival, where it won Grand Prix of the festival. Plot Radical environmentalists Josh and Dena buy a boat and tow it long-distance to meet Harmon, an ex-Marine. The three buy fertilizer, assemble a bomb and load it onto the boat, planning to bomb a dam they believe is harming the environment. At night, they take the boat to the dam, arm the bomb, and escape. Kelly Reichardt
Kelly Reichardt (; born March 3, 1964) is an American film director and screenwriter. She is known for her minimalist films closely associated with slow cinema, many of which deal with working-class characters in small, rural communities. Reichardt made her feature film debut with ''River of Grass'' (1994) and subsequently directed a series of films set and filmed in Oregon: the dramas ''Old Joy'' (2006) and ''Wendy and Lucy'' (2008); the Western '' Meek's Cutoff'' (2010); and the thriller '' Night Moves'' (2013). Galesville Reservoir
Galesville Reservoir is a water storage reservoir in Klamath Mountains of Douglas County, Oregon. The dam was completed in October 1986. This reservoir is the outlet of the Upper Cow Creek Watershed, which contains of land. The dam was proposed in a 1966 research document as a water storage dam, with a targeted completion date of 1975. The dam does not include a fish ladder, so it acts as a complete fish passage barrier. 67% of the watershed is owned by the US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management, with 7% owned by the state and county. The remainder is privately owned. Nearly all of the land (98.7%) is used for forestry. Azalea, Oregon
Azalea (formerly Starveout, Starve Out and Booth) is an unincorporated community in Douglas County, Oregon, United States, about 10 miles northeast of Glendale on Interstate 5, at an elevation of 1,657 feet. Azalea was named for the abundance of azaleas in the area, including the '' Azalea occidentalis'' and the '' Azaleastrum albiflorum''. The name Azalea was used for two different post offices in the upper Cow Creek Valley in Douglas County. A post office named "Starveout" was established in 1888.
