Nicole Chamoun (born 1984) is an Australian actress. She played the role of Zahra Al-Biyati in 2018's '' Safe Harbour'' for which she was nominated for the 2018 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress and the 2018 AACTA Award for Best Guest or Supporting Actress in a Television Drama. In ''On the Ropes'' she played Amirah Al-Amir and was nominated for the 2019 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress. ''Safe Harbour'' is a four-part Australian thriller drama series first broadcast on SBS on 7 March 2018. The series follows a group of friends who travel from Brisbane on a sailing holiday of a lifetime to Indonesia, who cross paths with a fishing boat overloaded with asylum seekers en route to Australia, which alters their lives forever. Production It is made by Matchbox Pictures, directed by Glendyn Ivin and written by Belinda Chayko, Matt Cameron and Phil Enchelmaier, and based on an original idea of Enchelmaier and Simon Kennedy. The 60th annual TV Week Logie Awards ceremony was held at The Star Gold Coast in Queensland, and broadcast live on the Nine Network. Public voting for the Most Popular Award categories ran from 5 March to 1 April 2018, with the shortlist of nominees revealed on 27 May. Voting reopened for the Popular Award categories on 29 June and remained open until the start of the ceremony, with each person given one extra vote in each category.
