Nicolas Testé (born November 28, 1970) is a French concert, song and opera singer in the bass and baritone vocal range. Career Born in Paris, Testé first studied piano, bassoon and music history in Paris. He studied singing at the Paris Opéra and the "Centre de Formation Lyrique", among others. In 1998, he won second place in the "Voix Nouvelles" singing competition. The artist sang and sings on the opera stages of Milan, Munich, Leipzig, Geneva, Lyon, Berlin, Antwerp, Vienna and New York. etc. His role repertoire includes: Léandro ('' The Love for Three Oranges''), Ferrando ('' Il trovatore''), Masetto (''Don Giovanni''), Angelotti (''Tosca''), Colline ('' La Bohème'') and Agamemnon ('' Iphigénie en Aulide'') among others. Sir John Eliot Gardiner (born 20 April 1943) is an English conductor, particularly known for his performances of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Life and career Born in Fontmell Magna, Dorset, son of Rolf Gardiner and Marabel Hodgkin, Gardiner's early musical experience came largely through singing with his family and in a local church choir. As a child he grew up with the celebrated Haussmann portrait of J. S. Bach, which had been lent to his parents for safe keeping during the Second World War. Heiko Mathias Förster (born 1966, Crivitz, East Germany) is a German conductor. Mackerras in 2005 Sir Alan Charles MacLaurin Mackerras (; 1925 2010) was an Australian conductor. He was an authority on the operas of Janáček and Mozart, and the comic operas of Gilbert and Sullivan. Emmanuel Krivine (born 7 May 1947, Grenoble) is a French conductor. Biography The son of a Polish mother and a Russian father, Krivine studied the violin as a youth. He was a winner of the ''Premier Prix'' at the Paris Conservatoire, at age 16. He later studied at the Queen Elisabeth School in Brussels. He stopped playing the violin after a car accident in 1981.
