1980 Pennsylvania Lottery Scandal
The 1980 Pennsylvania Lottery scandal, colloquially known as the Triple Six Fix, was a successful plot to rig '' The Daily Number'', a three-digit game of the Pennsylvania Lottery. All of the balls in the three machines, except those numbered ''4'' and ''6'', were weighted, meaning that the drawing was almost sure to be a combination of those digits. The scheme was successful in that ''666'' (one of the eight combinations of 4s and 6s that the "fixers" were hoping for) was drawn on April 24, 1980; however, the unusual betting patterns alerted authorities to the crime. The chief conspirators were sent to prison, and most of the fraudulently acquired winnings were never paid out. Nick Perry (linebacker)
Nicholas Joel Perry (born April 12, 1990) is a former American football outside linebacker. He played college football at USC. Perry was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Early years Detroit native, Nick Perry attended Mackenzie High School for most of his prep career; when Mackenzie was shuttered in 2007, Perry transferred to Martin Luther King High School for his senior season. During his Junior year in 2006, Perry was named to the All-metro and All-city teams while getting 75 tackles and 11 sacks. His senior year also brought great success as he played at defensive end, and Tight End. He recorded 147 tackles and a Michigan Record 36 Sacks. He also caught 14 passes for 310 yards and eight touchdowns. Nick Perry (born December 7, 1991) is an American football coach and former Safety (American football position), safety who is the assistant defensive backs coach for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). Playing career Perry played safety for five seasons at the University of Alabama coming out of Prattville High School under Nick Saban. There he won consecutive BCS National Championships in 2011 and 2012. He was not selected during the 2015 NFL Draft, 2015 NFL draft, so Perry signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens, Ravens and was on their practice squad during 2015 Baltimore Ravens season, 2015. In 2016 Philadelphia Eagles season, 2016 he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, but was released after training camp. Major General Nicholas Charles Laybourne Perry, (born 1972) is a British Army officer who served as Assistant Chief of the General Staff between 2021 and 2022. Military career Perry is the son of Richard Laybourne Perry and his wife Susan Margaret Cave-Browne. Educated at Ampleforth College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Perry was commissioned into the Royal Hussars on 12 September 1992. After serving as Chief of Staff for Task Force Helmand in winter 2010, and commanding 22 SAS Regiment in 2012, Perry became military advisor to the Prime Minister in 2015. He went on to be commander of 16 Air Assault Brigade in 2017, and Assistant Chief of the General Staff in March 2021.
