Nick Littlemore
Nicholas George Littlemore (born 6 May 1978) is an Australian musician, record producer, singer and songwriter. As a musician, he is the frontman of the electronic duo Pnau, an ex-member of the art-rock band Teenager (band), Teenager and one part of the electro pop-project Empire of the Sun (band), Empire of the Sun. As a record producer, he has worked with Elton John, Lover Lover, Groove Armada and Mika (singer), Mika. From late 2009, Littlemore had worked with the Cirque Du Soleil as a composer and musical director for the touring arena show ''Zarkana'', which debuted on 29 June 2011. His older brother Sam Littlemore, Sam La More is also a musician and record producer. In 2019, he and Peter Mayes launched the label Lab78. Wahroonga, New South Wales
Wahroonga is a suburb in the Upper North Shore of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia, 18 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government areas of Ku-ring-gai Council and Hornsby Shire. North Wahroonga is an adjacent separate suburb of the same postcode . History Wahroonga is an Aboriginal word meaning ''our home'', probably from the Kuringgai language group. In the early days of the British colonisation of New South Wales, the main activity was cutting down the tall trees which grew there. Wahroonga was first colonised by the British in 1822 by Thomas Hyndes, a convict who became a wealthy landowner. Hyndes's land was later acquired by John Brown, a merchant and timber-getter. Two Lane Blacktop
Two Lane Blacktop was a hard rock Band (music), band from Wellington, New Zealand who formed in 2001 and disbanded in 2003. The band wrote all its songs about movies and was named after a 1971 Two-Lane Blacktop, film directed by Monte Hellman. The members of the band were Matt Harrop on Singing, vocals and guitar, Luke Hutching on bass guitar, bass, Phil Smiley on drums, and Pip Brown on lead guitar and background vocals. The band was influenced by protopunk groups such as The Stooges and The MC5, and were often compared with contemporary hard rock bands such as fellow countrymen The Datsuns. Ladyhawke (musician)
Phillipa Margaret "Pip" Brown (born 13 July 1979), better known by her stage name Ladyhawke, is a New Zealand singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She took her stage name from Richard Donner's 1985 film '' Ladyhawke''. Brown was part of the Wellington-based band Two Lane Blacktop (2001–2003), before moving to Australia where, in 2004, she formed the art rock band Teenager with Nick Littlemore of Pnau. In 2007 she moved to London, afterwards relocating to Los Angeles around 2013, and then subsequently relocating back to her native New Zealand after the release of her third album, Wild Things. Brown's debut solo album, '' Ladyhawke'', was released on 22 September 2008 through Modular Recordings, and topped the RIANZ Albums Chart. Pnau ( ) is an Australian dance music trio originating from Sydney. The trio, a duo before 2016, consists of the musicians Nick Littlemore (vocals, production), Peter Mayes (guitar, production) and Sam Littlemore (production), with the latter joining in 2016. Pnau has achieved multiple successes with their award-winning 1999 first album ''Sambanova'' and the widely acclaimed 2007 release ''Pnau''. Pnau is also recognised for a heavily publicised apprenticeship under the musician Elton John, who signed the duo after listening to the ''Pnau'' album. Several of Pnau's later projects have had John's involvement, such as the album '' Soft Universe'' and an album of Pnau recreations of Elton John's hits called ''Good Morning to the Night''. Apart from being a member of Pnau, Nick Littlemore also appears as one half of the project Empire of the Sun, which has had multiple chart-topping singles. The ARIA Charts are the main Australian music sales charts, issued weekly by the Australian Recording Industry Association.
