Nice Life Recording Company is a Los Angeles-based record label and publishing company founded by producer Ricky Reed. Collectively, Nice Life artists and songwriters have won or been nominated for a wide variety of awards including Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, BET Awards, and iHeartRadio Music Awards. History Nice Life's launch was officially announced in March 2016 as a joint venture with Atlantic Records. Reed was initially approached by Atlantic CEO Craig Kallman in 2014 who proposed a partnership, citing producers who have worked closely with labels historically. The company's name was inspired by a phrase that Reed's former manager would use frequently. Soon after its formation, Nice Life added Lizzo as its first signee. Eric Burton Frederic (born July 23, 1982), known professionally as Ricky Reed, is an American artist, music producer, singer, songwriter, and founder of Nice Life Recording Company. From 2005 to 2014, Reed was also known as Wallpaper. Early work He was the lead singer of the Bay Area band Locale A.M. from 2001–2004. Hipgnosis were an English art design group based in London, that specialised in creating album cover artwork for rock musicians and bands. Their commissions included work for Pink Floyd, T. The Marías are an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California. They are known for performing songs in both English and Spanish, as well as infusing their music with elements like jazz percussion, guitar riffs, smoke-velvet vocals, and horn solos. Craig Kallman is an American entrepreneur and former DJ. He is currently the chairman and CEO of Atlantic Records. His career in music began in the 1980s as a DJ in Manhattan.
