Nibulon Shipyard
Nibulon Shipbuilding-Shiprepair Plant (Ukrainian: ''Суднобудівно-судноремонтний завод «Нібулон»'') is a Ukrainian shipyard that is located in Mykolaiv owned by agricultural company Nibulon. It is located right next to the Black Sea Shipyard. History As an independent company, the enterprise was founded in 1886. The main activity of the company was ship repair. In 1933 the plant began to build barges, floating docks, steel lights and steel structures for waterworks. In the early 90s, the company began the construction of yachts. There were built two motor-sailing schooner AQUATON-88 (length 26.7 meters), which became the first mega-yachts built in the then USSR. One of these yachts is a training schooner in the naval forces of Spain. Oleksi Vadatoursky
Oleksiy Opanasovych Vadaturskyi ( uk, Олексій Опанасович Вадатурський; 8 September 1947 – 31 July 2022) was a Ukrainian agricultural and grain logistics businessman and the founder of Nibulon, the largest grain logistics company in Ukraine. He was one of the wealthiest Ukrainians. Involvement in the Russo-Ukraine War In 2014, following the Russian annexation of Crimea and support of separatists in the Donbass regions, Vadaturskyi financed a 2,000-strong militia with army vehicles. In 2018, he became one of 322 Ukrainians blacklisted by Russia. Following the 2022 Russian invasion, the blockade of grain exports, and the grain export agreement of 22 July, Vadaturskyi and his businesses were devising solutions to resume the normal flow of Ukrainian grain to foreign countries. Nibulon
Nibulon ( uk, Нібулон) is a Ukrainian agricultural company specializing in production and export of grains such as wheat, barley and corn. It is headquartered in Mykolaiv. It is the only agricultural company in Ukraine with its own fleet and shipyard. In 1991 the joint venture of the Mykolaiv businessman Oleksiy Vadaturskyi, the Hungarian and British firms (KOMBISEED KFT and Meridian Commodities Ltd) is created. The name of the company was formed after the first letters of the cities where the co-founders came from: Mykolaiv - Budapest - London.
