Ngô Trọng Anh
Ngô Trọng Anh (born 26 November 1926) was a Vietnamese civil servant. Born in Huế, he served in the Republic of Vietnam (RVN) administration as Minister of Transportation and Public Works 1965-1966 and as Secretary of State, Founder of the National Supervisory Institute in 1966. He was Vice-President of Van Hanh University in Saigon, 1965-1975. After being jailed for three years he was under house arrest for six years by the communist government for his anti-communist political activities. With the intervention of the ODP ( Orderly Departure Program) he immigrated to the United States in November 1984. Since 1995, he has served as President of the National Security Council and as Chairman of the National Advisory Council of an exiled anti-communist organization known as The Government of Free Vietnam. Huế
Huế () is the capital of Thừa Thiên Huế province in central Vietnam and was the capital of Đàng Trong from 1738 to 1775 and of Vietnam during the Nguyễn dynasty from 1802 to 1945. South Vietnam, officially the Republic of Vietnam ( vi, Việt Nam Cộng hòa), was a state in Southeast Asia that existed from 1955 to 1975, the period when the southern portion of Vietnam was a member of the Western Bloc during part of the Cold War after the 1954 division of Vietnam. Orderly Departure Program
The Orderly Departure Program (ODP) was a program to permit immigration of Vietnamese to the United States and to other countries. It was created in 1979 under the auspices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The objective of the ODP was to provide a mechanism for Vietnamese to leave their homeland safely and in an orderly manner to be resettled abroad. Prior to the ODP, tens of thousands of "boat people" were fleeing Vietnam monthly by boat and turning up on the shores of neighboring countries. Under the ODP, from 1980 until 1997, 623,509 Vietnamese were resettled abroad of whom 458,367 went to the United States. The Government of Free Vietnam (GFCL; vi, Chính Phủ Lâm Thời Việt Nam Tự Do) was an anti-communism, anti-communist political organization that was established 30 April 1995 by Nguyen Hoang Dan. Order Of The Defender Of The Realm
The Most Esteemed Order of the Defender of the Realm ( ms, Darjah Yang Mulia Pangkuan Negara) is a Malaysian federal award presented for meritorious service to the country. The Order Motto are 'Dipeliharakan Allah-Pangkuan Negara' (By the Grace of God-Defender of the Realm). The order was instituted on 6 August 1958 and initially had the five highest ranks.
