Nguyễn Việt Thắng
Nguyễn Việt Thắng (born September 13, 1981) is a Vietnamese professional football manager and former player. He is formerly the assistant coach of Vietnam national team and Vietnam national under-23 team. Club career Thắng was one of the talent of Vietnam football after being found Ho Chi Minh City Police F.C. In 2002, he moved to Hoàng Anh Gia Lai after spending 3 years playing for the club. In 2003, he was believed to participate in a match-fixing scandal with another Hoàng Anh Gia Lai player in 2003 ASEAN Club Championship. Vietnam Football Federation decided to ban him from all domestic league for 3 years. In 2006, he came back and played for Đồng Tâm Long An F.C. During the time he was banned by the Vietnam Football Federation in 2005, he was sent to F.C. Porto B for training so that he could prepare for his returning to play in V-League. Tân An
Tân An is the capital city of Long An Province in Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. It was upgraded from town status to city status on 26 August 2009. The population of Tân An is 165,214 as of 2009, with an area of 81.79 km2. 2003 ASEAN Club Championship
The 2003 ASEAN Club Championship or the 2003 ACC was the first edition of the ASEAN Club Championship, an international association football competition between domestic champion clubs sides affiliated with the member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation. 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup
The 2008 AFF Championship was the seventh edition of the tournament. It was primarily sponsored by Suzuki and therefore officially known as the 2008 AFF Suzuki Cup. The group stage was held in Indonesia and Thailand from 5 to 10 December 2008. Two-legged home-and-away semi-finals and finals were held between 16 and 28 December 2008. Singapore were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Vietnam in the semi-finals. The 2007 AFC Asian Cup was the 14th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Lê Huỳnh Đức
Lê Huỳnh Đức (born April 20, 1972 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) is a Vietnamese football manager and former footballer. He is currently serving as technical director for V.League 1 side Saigon. Huỳnh Đức is a former member of the Vietnam national football team, with whom he earned 60 caps (a national record), as well as being its top scorer. He became the first Vietnamese footballer to be signed to a club outside of Vietnam when he signed on for a year's stint with Chongqing Lifan. In 2009, he became both the youngest coach to win the V-League's "Best Coach of the Month" award, and the first coach to win the award in three consecutive months.
