Nguyễn Trần Duy Nhất
Nguyễn Trần Duy Nhất (born March 21, 1989) is a Vietnamese professional Muay Thai, Kun Khmer and Lethwei fighter. Duy Nhất is a five-time World Muaythai Federation, WMF Muay Thai world champion and four-time Southeast Asian Games, SEA Games medalist in Muay Thai; in addition to having won medals at the IFMA World Muaythai Championships, Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Asian Martial Arts Games, Asian Indoor Games, and Asian Beach Games. Early life Nguyễn Trần Duy Nhất was born in Nha Trang in the Khánh Hòa Province of Vietnam. He was then raised in Lam Dong in Vietnam's Central Highlands (Vietnam), Central Highlands. Nha Trang
Nha Trang ( or ; ) is a coastal city and capital of Khánh Hòa Province, on the South Central Coast of Vietnam. Asian Indoor Games
The Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (abbreviated as AIMAG) is a pancontinental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. It is organised by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and consists of Indoor and martial arts events with TV broadcasting potential, some of which were not contested at the Asian Games and Asian Winter Games Programs and are not Olympic sports. World Muaythai Federation
The World Muaythai Federation was formed in 1995 by the Professional Boxing Association of Thailand (PAT). The PAT is the only organization officially recognized by the Thai government. Muaythai At The 2022 World Games
The muaythai tournaments at the 2022 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama, United States were held from 15 to 17 July 2022 at the Boutwell Memorial Auditorium. Originally scheduled to take place in 2021, the Games were rescheduled for July 2022 as a result of the 2020 Summer Olympics postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the second time of muaythai including in the World Games. Competition format The number of weight classes for men was reduced from 8 to 6, with the women's weight classes having a corresponding increase from 3 to 6. It was the first time that Muaythai event achieved full gender equality. World Games
The World Games are an international multi-sport event comprising sports and sporting disciplines that are not contested in the Olympic Games. They are usually held every four years, one year after a Summer Olympic Games, over the course of 11 days. The World Games are governed by the International World Games Association, under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. In the most recent editions, between 25 and 34 sports have been included in the official programme. 2019 IFMA World Muaythai Championships
The 2019 IFMA World Muaythai Championships is the 18th edition of the IFMA World Muaythai Championships. The competition are held from July 18 to July 28, 2019, in Bangkok, Thailand. The event served as a qualifier for the 2021 World Games in Birmingham, United States, with each men's and women's team that made the quarter-finals earning points for the qualification. Russia was initially awarded rights to host this edition, but Thailand negotiated to host this edition instead due to celebrating Coronation of King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand. The Asian Beach Games, also known as ABG, is a multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The Games have been organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The Games are described as the second or third largest Asian multi-sport event, after the Asian Games. Its popularity is increasing due to the low cost of temporary venues, with beaches and oceans already available, while spectators and tourists are also already available in sand and sea tourist areas.
