2020 Ontario Liberal Party Leadership Election
The 2020 Ontario Liberal Party leadership election concluded on March 7, 2020, resulting in the election of Steven Del Duca, a former cabinet minister in the government of Kathleen Wynne, as Ontario Liberal Party’s 33rd leader. The leadership election took place following the resignation of Kathleen Wynne after over five years at the helm of the party. Kathryn McGarry is a Canadian politician who was the 6th mayor of Cambridge from 2018 to 2022. CP24 is a Canadian English-language specialty news channel owned by Bell Media, a subsidiary of BCE Inc. and operated alongside the Bell-owned CTV Television Network's owned-and-operated television stations CFTO-DT (CTV Toronto) and CKVR-DT (CTV 2 Barrie). The channel broadcasts from 299 Queen Street West in Downtown Toronto. It was first originally launched on March 30, 1998, under the name CablePulse24 by its owners CHUM Limited and Sun Media. Dougall Media is a Canadian media company, which has several television, radio and publishing holdings in Northwestern Ontario. The term ranked voting (also known as preferential voting or ranked choice voting) refers to any voting system in which voters ranking, rank their candidates (or options) in a sequence of first or second (or third, etc.) on their respective ballots.
