The film investment and distribution business was founded in 2008 by former Showbox president Kim Woo-taek. ''Peninsula'' (; marketed internationally as ''Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula'') is a 2020 South Korean action horror heist film co-written and directed by Yeon Sang-ho. ''The Villainess'' ( ko, 악녀, translit=Ak Nyeo) is a 2017 South Korean action thriller film directed by Jung Byung-gil, starring Kim Ok-vin. ''Train to Busan'' () is a 2016 South Korean action horror film directed by Yeon Sang-ho and starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, Ma Dong-seok, Kim Su-an, Choi Woo-shik, Ahn So-hee, and Kim Eui-sung.
