Route 301, also known as Terra Nova Road, is a east–west highway on the island of Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It serves as the only road connection to the town of Terra Nova, connecting with Route 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) within Terra Nova National Park at the other end. Route 301 is entirely a very rough dirt road, and still has yet to be paved. The route starts off with a sharp right turn followed by sharp left turn, and is a relatively straight road afterwards, with a few slight bends. There are no other communities or junctions of any kind along the highway. Terra Nova, Newfoundland And Labrador
Terra Nova is a village located southwest of Glovertown on the island of Newfoundland. It was served by the Canadian National Railway in the 1950s. The population in 2006 was 68, this from a historic low of just 28 in 1996. By 2016, the population had risen to 73, down slightly from the total of 83 recorded in 2011. Terra Nova National Park
Terra Nova National Park is located on the east coast of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, along several inlets of Bonavista Bay. The park takes its name from the Latin name for Newfoundland; it is also the original Portuguese name given to the region. Terra Nova's landscape is typical of the northeast coast of Newfoundland, but with remnants of the Appalachian Mountains contributing to widely varied and rugged topography throughout the region. Route 1 is a highway in the Canada province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and is the easternmost stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway. Route 1 is the primary east–west road on the island of Newfoundland. The eastern terminus of Route 1 is St. John's.
