Its southern terminus is at Route 90 in St. Vincent's-St. Stephen's-Peter's River, and its northern terminus is at Route 2 and The Parkway in St. John's. The route is in Division No. 1 and winds along the southern and eastern coasts of Avalon Peninsula on the island of Newfoundland. They are loop roads and found in many road systems in the United States including the U.S. Highway system and various state and county route systems. Raymond's Bridge
Raymond's was an eastern Massachusetts department store company of the 19th and 20th centuries, extant from the 1870s to 1972. The main store was at Washington Street and Franklin Street in downtown Boston. Shortly after the Great Boston fire of 1872 that destroyed much of the downtown shopping district, George J. Raymond (1852-1915) pitched a tent downtown and sold an assortment of hats he bought at a fire sale. His store then later became a permanent fixture on Washington Street. The store was more downscale and freewheeling than nearby competitors such as Filene's and Jordan Marsh. A typical sale (supported by advertising and covered by the local newspapers) would find the contents of an entire distressed or overstocked out-of-town clothing store bought up and dumped in random piles on tables and counters. Route 2, also known as Pitts Memorial Drive and Peacekeeper's Way, is a freeway on the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The road provides a direct link from the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) to downtown St. John's, Newfoundland, which was previously accessible only via city streets such as Topsail Road or Kenmount Road (which was part of the TCH until the Outer Ring Road was built).
