Broadmeadow Racecourse is an Australian racecourse for horse racing in the Newcastle suburb of Broadmeadow. It was opened on 27 April 1907 by the Newcastle Jockey Club on land acquired from the Australian Agricultural Company. It replaced a racecourse at Hamilton. Rosehill Racecourse
The Rosehill Gardens Racecourse is located in the Western Sydney suburb of Rosehill, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is operated by the Australian Turf Club. Rosehill holds horse races for thoroughbred gallopers on a grass surface. It is one of the two premier racecourses in Sydney, the other one being Randwick Racecourse. Happy Clapper (foaled 25 October 2010) is a retired multiple Group 1 winning Australian bred thoroughbred racehorse. He is also remembered for running second on 5 occasions behind champion race mare Winx. Racing career Happy Clapper raced as a 2 year old and 3 year old without success.
